Patient interface

An apparatus for generating and providing a pressurized breathable gas to a patient's airways includes a respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device having an engagement port pneumatically and electrically coupled to the RPT device, and an air delivery tube configured to engage the engagement port so as to pass a flow of breathable gas to a patient interface. The air delivery tube includes electric contacts associated with a heating and/or a sensing arrangement. The air delivery tube includes a locking collar rotatably movable between (1) an unlocked position to allow connection/disconnection of the air delivery tube to/from the engagement port, and (2) a locked position to releasably lock the air delivery tube to the engagement port. The air delivery tube is structured and arranged to, when the locking collar is rotated into the locked position, pneumatically connect to the engagement port and define an operational configuration of the apparatus.

Humidification interface arrangements

A patient interface including a positioning and stabilizing structure that is configured to maintain a first seal-forming structure and a second seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position. The positioning and stabilizing structure comprises a frame coupled to the plenum chamber. The frame includes a central portion coupled to the plenum chamber outside of the cavity. The frame also includes a pair of arms that extend away from the central portion in a posterior direction past the second seal-forming structure. The pair of arms are more flexible than the central portion. The positioning and stabilizing structure also includes headgear straps coupled to the frame, which configured to provide a tensile force to the first seal-forming structure and to the second seal-forming structure into the patient's face via the frame.

Oro-nasal patient interface

A respiratory valve, such as a positive end expiratory pressure valve, permits pressure control for respiratory apparatus such as a ventilator or positive airway pressure device. The valve may include a flexible gas passage cover. The cover may be configured with a first side surface to operatively block and open an aperture of the gas passage at a valve seat to respectively prevent and permit gas flow through the aperture defined by the valve seat. The cover may include a second side surface opposite the first surface. The second surface may include at least one drop section forming a reduction in thickness of the cover between the first surface and the second surface. The first surface may include a coating to reduce friction of a membrane material of the first surface. The rim of the valve seat may comprise a variation in height relative the flexible cover.

Breathable gas valve device for respiratory treatment apparatus

A respiratory treatment apparatus configured to provide a flow of breathable gas to a patient, including a breathable air outlet, an outside air inlet, and an pneumatic block module, wherein the pneumatic block module includes: a volute assembly including an inlet air passage, a mount for a blower and an outlet air passage; the blower being mounted in the mount such that an impeller of the blower is in a flow passage connecting the inlet air passage and the outlet air passage; a casing enclosing the volute assembly, wherein air passages within the casing connect air ports on the volute assembly, wherein the inlet air passage of the volute assembly is in fluid communication with the outside air inlet and the outlet air passage of the volute assembly is in fluid communication with the air outlet.
