A data intersection is assessed of data to be used between at least two parties. The data is to be used in an artificial intelligence (AI) application. Evaluation is performed of set of instructions required for the AI application, where the evaluation creates a modified set of instructions where operands are symbolically associated with corresponding privacy levels. Using the assessed data intersection and the modified set of instructions, a mapping is created from the data to operands with associated privacy metrics. The mapping treats overlapping data from the assessed data intersection differently from data that is not overlapping to improve privacy relative to without the mapping. The AI application is executed using the data to produce at least one parameter of the AI application. The at least one parameter is output for use for a trained version of the AI application. Apparatus, methods, and computer program products are described.

Collaborative AI on transactional data with privacy guarantees

A computer system accesses and processes regulatory requirements for data item(s) in a private manner. Both the data item(s) and the regulatory requirements are accessed and processed privately. The computer system creates an orchestration strategy satisfying the regulatory requirements. The orchestration strategy includes recommendation(s) associating the data item(s) with process(es). The computer system outputs indications of the orchestration strategy to be used to implement regulatory compliance for processing of the data item(s) by associated ones of the process(es). The computer system may be implemented as a portion of a cloud environment, and compliance may be offered as a service for cases where data usage by an application (implementing the process(es)) does not address compliance with the regulatory requirements, but following the orchestration strategy ensures use of the application on the data item(s) will comply with the regulatory requirements.

A route-quality learning method, system, and computer program product include collecting a first route for a trip recommended from a first third-party application, collecting a second route for the trip recommended from a second third-party application, and after the trip is completed, estimating best alternatives given completion data of the trip and using the first third-party application and the second third-party application recommendation.

Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer program products that provide a user with alternative options to incident induced traffic by presenting the user with an alternate route to perform other tasks on a task list when travel is delayed by the incident. The method includes receiving a current location, a navigation route, an expected delay due to an incident, and a list of tasks from the user. Each task in the list may include a value and expected duration. The method further includes computing an incentive for each task in the list based on the received information and a probability that the user will re-route to stop at a facility for fulfilling the task, comparing the incentive and probability to determine which task has a minimal incentive and a greater probability that the user will re-route than not re-route to the facility, and presenting the minimal incentive to the user.

Personalized incentives leveraging incident-aware routing

A method for adjusting control parameters of a traffic management system in a presence of one or more incidents on a network includes junctions in a tree format, and at a lowest level of a tree comprise a group of associated junctions using coordinated timing, wherein each junction is associated with a weight as a function of its height within its tree, and wherein a junction with a highest weight in each tree comprises a lead junction for receiving timing information for its group of associated junctions.

Method and system for optimizing road traffic control in the presence of incidents

In an approach for audio based event analytics, a processor receives a recording of audio from an event. A processor collects information about the event and a list of participants. A processor segments the recording into, at least, a plurality of utterances. A processor analyzes the segmented recording. A processor summarizes the recording based on the segmentation and the analysis. A processor generates insights about interactions patterns of the event based on the segmentation and the analysis.

Audio-based event interaction analytics

Embodiments relate to calculating a journey time for a planned journey between a chosen origin and a chosen destination over a network of roads in a region. A first journey time for the journey is estimated using a route scheduling algorithm and a second journey time for the journey is estimated using selected historical journeys characterized by journey origins and destinations. The historical journeys are selected based on their vicinity to the planned journey. An error in the second journey time is calculated based on the standard deviation in the selected historical journeys. The second journey time is selected as the estimated journey time from the planned journey if this error is below a defined threshold, otherwise the first journey time is selected as the estimated journey time for the planned journey.

Journey time estimation

A routing plan for elevator passengers can be developed by a computer system, when there are a plurality of elevator users requesting service from a plurality of elevators. The routing plan can be based on user input that specifies a destination and a current location. Profile data for each user can also be used to develop the routing plan. The input and profile data is correlated with a shared resource in each elevator, and the routing plan is developed from the correlated data. The plan is then communicated to the users.

Personalized elevator dispatch

A computerized method for adjusting control parameters of a traffic management system in a presence of one or more incidents on a network, said method includes representing, using a tree format, a prioritization across network junctions, as executed by a processor on a computer. Associating weights with each junction as a function of its height in the tree; and solving a real-time optimization of control parameters for the network, using the weights on the junctions, and upon an occurrence of an incident in the network and depending upon a severity level of the incident, an incident-affected junction is selectively elevated higher in the tree, and the reallocated junction weights resulting from the incident are used for solving the optimization of network control parameters.

Locations for traffic sensors can be determined by a computer system that identifies a particular segment of a travel path. Traffic flow data from other segments of travel path are accessed based on traffic flow characteristics of the particular path. Using the traffic flow data, parameters for a traffic incident symptom propagation model are generated, and a location of a traffic incident along the segment of the path is determined. Using time-to-detection limits and the incident model, upstream and downstream distances are determined, and the locations of two sensors are identified based on the distances.

Traffic network sensor placement

A method (and structure) for adjusting control parameters of a traffic management system in a presence of one or more incidents on a network, including representing, using a tree format, a prioritization across network junctions prior to an incident. An incident-affected junction is elevated higher in priority on the tree, depending upon a severity level of the incident. Weights are associated with each junction as a function of its height in the tree. A real-time optimization of the control parameters for the network is solved, using the weights on the junctions.

A location for a traffic incident can be determined by a computer system, using data from a first and second sensor along a travel path. A receiving and sending symptom of the traffic incident are detected from a first and second sensor, using traffic flow data from the sensors. The locations of the first and second sensors are determined. The location and traffic flow data from each sensor are used to create a sending and receiving profiles. From the profiles, a convergence formula is build. Using the convergence formula and by determining a convergence point for the sending and receiving symptoms, a time and location of the traffic incident is identified.
