A fuel injector for the injection of fuel, which includes a fuel supply element for supplying the fuel, a current bar which extends at least partially parallel to the fuel supply element, and an extrusion coat, which surrounds the fuel supply element and the current bar, the extrusion coat encompassing a longitudinal rib that extends in the axial direction of the fuel injector and is disposed on the fuel injector opposite the current bar.

Stiffened fuel injector

A method for manufacturing an injector having an extrusion coating, including the following steps: providing an injection module, pushing a disk-shaped alignment element onto a part of the injection module, the alignment element having a slot in order to have sufficient flexibility, welding the alignment element onto the part of the injection module, at least part of the slot also being welded shut at the same time during the welding-on step in order to stiffen the alignment element, and molding the extrusion coating onto the injection module.

Alignment element for an injector

A fuel injector which includes an actuator having an electrical contact element, a plug, a fuel supply pipe, and an injection-molded housing part. The plug has a base body, an electrical connection element for an electrical connection with the electrical contact element of the actuator, and a rib which projects from the base body, the injection-molded housing part surrounding the electrical connection element of the plug and being injection-molded on the rib of the plug and the fuel supply pipe.
