A thermal management system for a vehicle, comprising a controller, a first coolant circuit with a first coolant pump, a second coolant circuit with a second coolant pump, and a multiway valve that completes each of the coolant circuits. The first coolant pump, the second coolant pump, and the multiway valve can be automatically actuated by the controller. The first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit can be fluidically connected to one another by the multiway valve as a function of the actuation of the multiway valve. The first coolant pump, the second coolant pump, and the multiway valve are matched to one another such and can be operated such that a coolant circulates essentially in the first coolant circuit when the first coolant pump is switched on and when the second coolant pump is switched off.

A coolant valve for a cooling system of a motor vehicle, comprising a valve housing with housing openings, at least one valve body for automatically fluidically connecting at least two of the housing openings, and at least one valve seal for sealing the coolant valve. The valve housing has a first housing cylinder, having housing openings with a first valve body, and a second housing cylinder having housing openings with a second valve body. The first housing cylinder has a first housing plane with the first valve body and a second housing plane without a valve body. The second housing cylinder has at least one second housing plane with the second valve body and the two housing cylinders are fluidically connected together solely by the second housing planes.

A multi-way valve for a motor vehicle, having a housing, in which a lower and upper chamber are disposed one above the other along an axis of rotation and are separated from each other by a separating wall. A lower valve body is disposed in the lower chamber for rotation about the axis of rotation. An upper valve body is disposed in the upper chamber for rotation about the axis of rotation. A drive shaft drives the lower and upper valve bodies. The drive shaft is torque-transmittingly connected to one of the two valve bodies and said valve body is torque-transmittingly connected to the other of the two valve bodies. A checking device checks for a correct alignment, and, in the event of an incorrect relative alignment of the two valve bodies in the peripheral direction, a reaction to the incorrect alignment can be automatically triggered.

A multi-way valve having a housing with housing openings for flow-conductive connection to an external flow channel for a fluid, and a valve body arranged in the housing so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis, for flow-conductive connection of at least two of the housing openings of the housing. A seal arranged between the housing and the valve body. The valve body has a first plane having at least one first connection channel and a second plane, arranged parallel to the first plane, having at least one second connection channel, wherein the connection channels are separate from each other in respect of flow and can each be flow-conductively connected to at least two of the housing openings by a rotation of the valve body to a previously specified rotary position of the valve body.

The present invention relates to a valve system, comprising a first valve and a second valve, wherein both valves each have a housing with a plurality of housing openings, and a valve body arranged rotatably in the housing with at least one connection channel for providing a fluid connection of at least two of the housing openings, characterized in that the valve body of the first valve and the valve body of the second valve are mechanically coupled with each other by means of a coupling device of the valve system, wherein the coupling device is designed in such a way that the valve bodies can be rotated jointly by means of the coupling device when the valve system is in a first operating state and rotated independently of each other by means of the coupling device when the valve system is in a second operating state.

A thermal management system for an electric vehicle, having a control unit, a battery circuit connected to a drive battery of the electric vehicle, a drive circuit connected to an electric drive of the electric vehicle or to a power electronics for an electric drive, and an air conditioning circuit connected for heat transfer to a vehicle interior of the electric vehicle. The battery circuit and the drive circuit are each operable with a coolant and can be connectable from one another for transfer of coolant by an actuatable coolant valve. The air conditioning circuit can be operated with a refrigerant different from the coolant. A heat transfer connection between the battery circuit and/or the drive circuit on the one hand and the air conditioning circuit on the other hand can be established or separated by at least one heat exchange device of the thermal management system.

A valve for a fluid system of a vehicle having a valve housing with valve housing openings, a valve body arranged so as to be rotatable about an axis of rotation, a valve seal, a valve drive, and a plurality of connecting pieces corresponding to the valve housing openings. The connecting pieces have a circular flow passage area in cross section at a free end of the respective connecting piece, and the valve housing openings, corresponding to the connecting pieces, each have a substantially rectangular cross section. The respective valve housing opening is larger than the flow passage area at the free end of the corresponding connecting piece, and the flow passage areas of the connecting pieces widen in a diffuser-like manner from the free end of the respective connecting piece to the respective corresponding valve housing opening and merge in a stepless manner into the respective valve housing opening.

A clutch actuation mechanism for actuating a clutch operator of a spring loaded friction clutch having at least a motor driven rotary disc for being connected to the clutch operator enables to operate the motor with an essentially constant and reduced torque, if a pin is attached to the disc with an offset from the disc's rotary axis, and if a lever has a curved contacting surface and if a spring forces the lever with its contacting surface against the pin to thereby provide an additional torque to the disc. Thus, the pin travels over the contacting surface when the disc rotates to open or close the spring loaded clutch via the clutch operator and the curvature enables to adapt the torque provided by the spring to the torque required to compensate for the clutch spring.
