An apparatus for releasably attaching a fiber optic module to equipment is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a latch configured to releasably attach the fiber optic module to equipment. The apparatus further comprises a pushrod configured to deactivate the latch from a back end of the fiber optic module, wherein the fiber optic module is released from the equipment. In one embodiment, the fiber optic module is a high-density fiber optic module. The pushrod may be further configured to maintain a position of the latch. The pushrod may also be further configured to be positioned in a groove disposed in a side of a main body of the fiber optic module, wherein the pushrod and the groove are configured to prevent the pushrod from binding while moving within the groove.

Embodiments disclosed in the detailed description include stacked fiber optic modules and fiber optic equipment supporting stacked fiber optic modules. In one embodiment, a stacked fiber optic module is provided. This embodiment of the stacked fiber optic module comprises a body having a first sub-body and a second sub-body where the second sub-body can translate relative to the first sub-body. The stacked fiber optic module further comprises a first plurality of fiber optic components disposed in a first longitudinal axis in the at least one front side. The stacked fiber optic module also further comprises a second plurality of fiber optic components disposed adjacent the first plurality of fiber optic components in a second longitudinal axis parallel or substantially parallel to the first longitudinal axis in the at least one front side.

A device for receiving a subassembly, in particular a furcation plug or a furcation adaptor, assigned to an optical fiber cable and for fastening the subassembly received on the device to a mounting, in particular to a wall of a distribution panel or distribution cabinet, via the device, with a bar-shaped basic body, there being formed on a topside of the basic body a guide element for receiving the subassembly assigned to the optical fiber cable, there being formed on an underside, in the region of mutually opposite ends of the basic body, anchoring elements, via which the device can be introduced into recesses of the mounting, whereby the guide element for receiving the subassembly comprises at least two protrusions forming latching elements which engage with shoulders or recesses formed in the subassembly to be received by the guide element when the subassembly is pushed into said guide element.
