A switch assembly includes a switch; and a drive system for the switch. The drive system includes: a drive shaft connecting the drive system to the switch; a motor configured to drive the drive shaft; and a feedback system, which is configured to determine at least two values for a position of the drive shaft; and to generate a feedback signal on the basis of the at least two values; and a control device which is configured to influence an operation of the motor depending on the feedback signal.

A drive system drives at least one switch. The drive system includes: a drive shaft, which is configured to connect the drive system to the at least one switch and at least one motor, which is configured to be coupled to the drive shaft; a feedback system which is configured to determine a position of the drive shaft and, based on this position, to generate a feedback signal; and a controller which, based on the feedback signal, selects a stored travel profile from a plurality of travel profiles and controls the motor in accordance with the selected travel profile.

A method for carrying out a switchover of a switch from a current switching position to a target switching position by means of a drive system. The method includes receiving, by the drive system, a switching signal from a control device, determining, via a feedback signal of a feedback system, at least one value for a first position of a drive shaft of the drive system, determining, by the control device, a value for a second position of the drive shaft on the basis of the target switching position, to be moved to, of the switch, and ascertaining, by the control device, a difference between the value for the first position and the value for the second position of the drive shaft. The control device, depending on the feedback signal, acts on a motor until the value for the second position of the drive shaft is reached.

A method carries out a switchover of a first switch or at least one second switch for equipment. The method includes receiving, by a controller, a switching signal; selecting, by the controller, the first switch or at least the second switch for switchover on the basis of the switching signal; querying, by the controller, at least one parameter of the first switch or the at least second switch; checking a locking condition on the basis of the at least one queried parameter for the first switch or a locking condition for the at least second switch; and carrying out the switchover by the selected first switch or the at least second switch based upon the corresponding locking condition being met.

A drive system drives a switch. The drive system includes: a drive shaft connecting the drive system to the switch; a motor configured to drive the drive shaft; a feedback system; and a controller. The feedback system is configured to: determine at least one value for a position of the drive shaft; and generate a feedback signal based on the at least one value. The controller acts on an operation of the motor depending on the feedback signal.

A switch assembly includes a switch and a servo drive system. The drive system includes: a drive shaft connecting the drive system to the switch; a motor driving the switch; a power section supplying power to the motor; a feedback system; and a programmable safety controller. Method for cleaning an on-load top changer, and on-load tap changer

An operational setting of an on-load tap changer used to switch between various winding taps of a tapped transformer is determined by first placing the on-load tap changer in operation with the tapped transformer and then moving the changer in a first rotational direction through a regulating range of its stationary operational settings on different winding taps of the tapped transformer toward an end abutment of the tapped transformer. The position is registered on reaching the end abutment of the regulating range of the on-load tap changer, and then the movement is reversed to return to the first stationary operational setting that is then configured as a predefined operational setting with the help of the parameterization that is stored in a nonvolatile memory of the control device.

Method of determining an operational setting of an on-load tap changer

The invention relates to a method for monitoring an on-load tap changer that is used to switch between winding taps of a tapped transformer without interrupting the load current and is actuated using a motor drive. According to the invention, prior to the actual load switching process, the on-load tap changer is initially moved a short distance, preferably against the direction in which the load is subsequently switched. In said initial process, it is verified whether the on-load tap changer has moved, i.e. has left its previous stationary position, and/or whether the torque on the motor drive has exceeded a predefined threshold value. The actual load switching process takes place only once the test has yielded a positive result.
