An assembly includes a rotary encoder having a shaft rotatable about an axis relative to a housing, a tolerance ring and a body accommodating the rotary encoder and the tolerance ring. The housing includes an outer wall having first and second distances from the axis in first and second sections, respectively, the first distance being greater than the second distance. The body has an opening that is: bounded radially by a first inner wall having third and fourth distances from the axis in third and fourth sections, the fourth distance being greater than the third distance; and bounded by a second inner wall which forms an axial stop for the housing. The tolerance ring surrounds the housing and is positioned within the opening such that it is disposed radially between the first and fourth sections and between the second and third sections, and is radially clamped.

Assembly having a rotary encoder and a tolerance ring

A rotary encoder includes a housing and a shaft, which has an axis. A graduated disk is fixed in place on the shaft in torsionally fixed manner. The shaft is adapted for the positionally accurate attachment to a first machine part. Furthermore, a scanning device for scanning the graduated disk is fixed in place on the housing, the housing being arranged such that an outer surface forms a positionally accurate rigid stop on a second machine part in the radial direction. The housing includes a housing body and a cover, the housing body and the cover being connected to each other by press-fitting. The housing has a mechanically flexible element which is deformed as a result of the press-fitting.

Rotary encoder

A rotary encoder includes a stator and a rotor, the rotor being disposed in a manner allowing rotation relative to the stator with the aid of a bearing. The rotor has a shaft, a positive-locking device as well as a code disk being secured in rotatably fixed manner to the shaft. The stator has a body having a scanning device for scanning the code disk, a compensating coupling and a housing. The body is joined to the housing by the compensating coupling. The housing has a further positive-locking device, the rotary encoder being pre-adjusted such that in operation of the rotary encoder, at a predefined relative angular position between the positive-locking device of the shaft and the further positive-locking device of the housing, a predefined angle value is able to be output by the rotary encoder. A series of rotary encoders may be provided.

An angle measuring arrangement for determining a relative angular position of two components, which are rotatably arranged around an axis of rotation. The angle measuring arrangement including a cap, a connecting cable, including a fixation area having a longitudinal axis and a receptacle device arranged on the cap for receiving the fixation area of the connecting cable. The receptacle device includes an undercut for maintaining the fixation area in a direction with a directional component extending orthogonally with respect to the longitudinal axis. In a position in which the fixation area is fixed in place on the receptacle device, the longitudinal axis of the fixation area lies along a first axis. The longitudinal axis of the fixation area can be introduced into the undercut of the receptacle device by movement along a second axis that is oriented inclined in relation to the first axis.

Angle measuring arrangement

An angle-measuring instrument including a cap defining an opening and a base body that is covered by the cap. A printed circuit board positioned on the base body and on which an electrical coupling element is fixed in place. A spacer that aids in positioning the cap in such a way relative to the printed circuit board so that the opening is aligned with respect to the electrical coupling element.

An angle-measuring arrangement that includes a base body, a code disk, which is rotatable relative to the base body around an axis A and a contact area, which is laid out in such a way that electrical current or electrical signals can be conducted into the angle-measuring arrangement from a further stationary body. The contact area is arranged to be stationary with respect to the base body and has an identical electrical potential at every point of the contact area. The contact area is also configured in such a way that a first point is defined by polar coordinates R and &#x3b1;, and a second point by polar coordinates R and &#x3b1;, wherein the first and second points are located on the contact area, and R is a distance of an identical size of the first and second points from the axis A, and &#x3b1;and &#x3b1;represent different angles.
