The invention relates to calcium coacervate for use in a method for caries prevention and/or caries treatment, comprising a step during which dental enamel is infiltrated with calcium coacervate; and to kits that comprise: a) a phosphate ion-containing solution; and b1) a calcium coacervate-containing emulsion and/or b2) a second solution comprising polyanions and/or their salts, and a calcium ion-containing third solution.

Calcium coacervates for remineralization and for demineralization inhibition

The present invention refers to a method of infiltrating enamel for the prevention and/or treatment of carious lesions comprising (a) exposing an enamel area to a conditioner comprising hydrochloric acid; (b) exposing the conditioned enamel area to an infiltrant; and (c) curing the infiltrant. The present invention further refers to a kit for carrying out the method of infiltrating enamel, which comprises a conditioner comprising hydrochloric acid and an infiltrant comprising at least one low viscous dental resin. Alternatively, the kit comprises ready-to-use means for carrying out the method of infiltrating enamel, e.g. application strips with delivery pads soaked with conditioner or infiltrant. The present invention also refers to a method for identifying an infiltrant by calculation of the penetration coefficient, and to an infiltrant identified by the method having a penetration coefficient of &#x3e;50 cm/s or comprising a low viscous light curing resin having a penetration coefficient of &#x3e;50 cm/s.

Method and means for infiltrating enamel lesions

The device for infiltration of approximal tooth surfaces, with a flexible planar element and with a holder into which the planar element is clamped, is characterized in that the planar element is a liquid-impermeable plastic film which has a surface area for taking up a liquid to be used for treatment, and in that the holder is a bow-shaped element with a web and two lateral arms which extend from the latter and are arranged in an arc-shape or U-shape, to which the plastic film is connected in a liquid-impermeable manner.

The present invention further refers to a kit for carrying out the method of infiltrating enamel, which comprises a conditioner comprising hydrochloric acid and an infiltrant comprising at least one low viscous dental resin. The present invention also refers to a method for identifying an infiltrant by calculation of the penetration coefficient, and to an infiltrant identified by the method having a penetration coefficient of &#x3e;50 cm/s or comprising a low viscous light curing resin having a penetration coefficient of &#x3e;50 cm/s.

Method of infiltrating enamel lesions
