A vehicle electrical system for a vehicle includes first and second subsystems, each connected to at least one energy source. The first and second subsystems have different voltage levels. At least one safety-relevant load is connected to one of the subsystems, this subsystem having two partial systems, and the load being connected to both partial systems so that the load is connected to the energy source of the subsystem via two separate supply lines. A power module, which connects the two subsystems to each other and is designed such that each of the two supply lines can be connected to both energy sources so that the load can be supplied from both energy sources via both supply lines. There is also described a corresponding power module.

A dual-voltage battery for a vehicle includes a multiplicity of battery cells, wherein a group of battery cells in each case is connected to form a battery cell block and a battery electronic system with a plurality of power switching elements for connecting at least individual battery cell blocks in series and/or in parallel, wherein a first voltage is provided in a first connection arrangement of the battery cell blocks and wherein a second voltage is provided in a second connection arrangement of the battery cell blocks, characterized in that a block current sensor with a measurement resistor is associated with at least individual battery cell blocks and is designed to measure a block current through the one associated battery cell block.

A motor vehicle, particularly a passenger car, contains an onboard electrical system having a number of electrical consumers, a generator and an onboard electrical system rechargeable battery. A bidirectional interface is provided for a rechargeable device battery of a mobile device such that the rechargeable device battery can be coupled to the onboard electrical system by the bidirectional interface and, when coupled, can both be charged by the onboard electrical system and be used as an additional energy source in the onboard electrical system.

Two-voltage battery

A dual-voltage battery for a vehicle includes a plurality of battery cells, wherein in each case a group of battery cells is connected to a battery cell block, and a battery electronics system with a plurality of power switching elements for connection in series or in parallel of in each case individual battery cell blocks. In a first connection arrangement of the battery cell blocks, a first voltage is provided and in a second connection arrangement, a second voltage is provided. Dual-voltage battery

An operating method for a dual-voltage battery of a vehicle includes a plurality of battery cell blocks and a battery electronic system with a plurality of power switching elements for optionally connecting individual, in any case individual battery cell blocks, in parallel and/or in series, wherein a first battery cell block and at least one additional battery cell block of a group of battery cell blocks are connected in parallel in a first connection arrangement in order to provide a first voltage and in series in a second connection arrangement in order to provide a second voltage, wherein a parallel connection switch and a series connection switch are associated with the first battery cell block of the group of battery cell blocks to produce the parallel and/or series connection.

Operating method for a dual-voltage battery

A dual voltage power supply having at least one battery with multiple battery modules and a first set of switches for connecting the battery modules in series to thereby provide a first voltage to a first circuit in case the first switches are closed and to disconnect the series connection case the first switches are open. At least one connection tap is connected to one of the battery modules to provide its voltage to a second circuit operating at a lower voltage than the first circuit and being connected in parallel by a second set of switches to other battery modules. The other battery modules are connected in parallel to each other and one of the battery modules, in case the second set of switches is closed and are not connected in parallel in case the second set of switches is open, can be charged with off the shelf generators.
