A video endoscope including: an outer cladding tube, a fiber tube accommodated in the outer cladding tube, wherein the fiber tube has a housing bounding a closed space with a distal end and a proximal end, wherein a front-side window is provided at the distal end of the fiber tube, the fiber tube having an inner tube (for accommodating an imaging sensor, and a heating foil provided between the fiber tube and the inner tube. Where, the heating foil is adapted to heat the front-side window at the distal end of the fiber tube.

Video endoscope

A method for documenting a reprocessing of a reusable medical device. The reusable device comprising at least one temperature sensor configured to provide temperature data representing a temperature of the medical device, a real time clock (RTC) configured to provide timestamps and one or more processors including hardware configured to process the temperature data and the timestamps. The method includes: monitoring the temperature of the medical device during the reprocessing; and a) upon detecting the temperature exceeding a first predefined threshold, the one or more processors receiving and saving a first current timestamp provided by the RTC, and setting the one or more processors into a low-power mode, and b) upon detecting the temperature falling below a second predefined threshold, setting the one or more processors into an active mode, and the one or more processors receiving and saving a second current timestamp provided by the RTC.

The housing having a wall with a via provided in the wall to electrically connect an electrical contact formed on the inside of the wall with an electrical contact formed on the outside of the wall, wherein the via has a penetration in the wall, and the penetration is filled with a filling material to form a hermetically sealed housing, wherein the electrical contacts are formed as at least one electrically conductive conductor path on the inside of the wall and on the outside of the wall, wherein one conductor path on the inside of the wall, and one conductor path on the outside of the housing are connected to each other by means of the via, and wherein the filling material of the via consists of metal or solder.
