The present disclosure generally relates to generating and modifying virtual avatars. An electronic device having a camera and a display apparatus displays a virtual avatar that changes appearance in response to changes in a face in a field of view of the camera. In response to detecting changes in one or more physical features of the face in the field of view of the camera, the electronic device modifies one or more features of the virtual avatar.

An electronic device displays a control user interface that includes a plurality of control affordances. The device detects a first input directed to a location that corresponds to a first control affordance, of the plurality of control affordances. And if the first input meets enhanced control criteria, the device displays modification options for the control that correspond to the first control affordance. While displaying the modification options, the device detects a second input that activates a modification option of the modification options and, accordingly, modifies the control that corresponds to the first control affordance.

An electronic device displays a user interface including a slider control that represents a continuous range of values between a first value and a second value, the slider control includes a first end that corresponds to the first value and a second end that corresponds to the second value, and the slider control further includes a movable indicator configured to move along the slider control between the first and the second end. The device detects a contact on the slider control followed by a movement of the contact. The present disclosure generally relates to creating and editing user avatars. In some examples, guidance is provided to a user while capturing image data for use in generating a user-specific avatar. In some examples, a user interface allows a user to intuitively customize a user avatar. In some examples, avatars are generated for a messaging session based on an avatar model for a user of the messaging application. In some examples, an avatar editing interface updates a user avatar in response to gestures and based on the type of gesture and the avatar feature that is selected for editing.

On a portable electronic device having a display a plurality of affordances associated with a plurality of contacts are displayed. A first user input is received selecting a first affordance of the plurality of affordances for a first contact of the plurality of contacts. In response to receiving the first user input and in accordance with a determination that a first communication application is in a set of communication applications installed on the portable electronic device, a contact information interface is displayed for the first contact. The contact information interface includes a first contact identification field for the first contact. The first contact identification field is associated with the first contact and the first communication application.

Managing contact information for communication applications

An electronic device having a camera, while displaying a live preview for the camera, detects activation of a shutter button at a first time. In response, the electronic device acquires, by the camera, a representative image that represents a first sequence of images, and a plurality of images after acquiring the representative image, and also displays an indication in the live preview that the camera is capturing images for the first sequence of images. The electronic device groups images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button at the first time into the first sequence of images, such that the first sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, the representative image, and the plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image.

Devices and methods for capturing and interacting with enhanced digital images

An electronic device, in response to an input directed to a first user interface displays a second user interface, and in response to continuously detecting a contact on a button while displaying the second user interface, including detecting an increase in a characteristic intensity of the contact above a first intensity threshold, displays a beginning of a transition from the second user interface back to the first user interface. If the contact on the button is part of an input sequence that meets first criteria, the device ceases to display the second user interface and redisplays the first user interface on the display; and if the input sequence meets second criteria, the device reverses the beginning of the transition from the second user interface back to the first user interface, and redisplays the second user interface on the display.
