A pilot-controlled coolant valve is provided that includes a pressure chamber, a pressure release chamber, a control opening, a pressure release channel, an actuator having a plunger, a control piston stroke-actuated by the plunger, a closing piston moving in the pressure chamber, and a valve seat. The pressure chamber has an in-flow and an out-flow for coolant. The control opening connects the pressure release chamber to the pressure chamber. The control piston closes the control opening during the stroke actuation by the plunger, except for a radial sealing gap between the control piston and the control opening. When the control opening is closed, the closing piston sealingly rests on the valve seat and interrupts the connection of the through-flow chamber with the in-flow. Axial end sides of the closing piston delimit a stagnation pressure chamber on one side and a through-flow chamber on the other side.

Pilot-controlled coolant valve

A control valve for a heat management module of a motor vehicle is provided, which includes a valve disk, a valve shaft connected to the valve disk, and a shaft bearing on which the valve shaft is mounted such that it can move axially from a bearing surface. The control valve further includes a radial spring biased radially towards the shaft bearing. A receiving groove of the valve shaft includes an inhibiting section and a free-running section that are axially separated by a clamping wedge, The radial spring, in the region of the bearing surface is unable to overcome the clamping wedge and the radial spring is pressable radially by the clamping wedge such that the valve shaft is inhibited in the axial direction away from the free-running section. A control position can be held in a continuous manner without energy in a small installation space.

Control valve for a heat management module

A coolant pump () of an internal combustion engine, having a pump casing (), in which a pump shaft () is rotatably supported by a water pump bearing assembly () and an impeller () connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the pump shaft () is associated with an intake space (). During a rotation of the impeller () together with associated blades (), a coolant as a working medium is pumped from the intake space (), via a coolant outlet of the coolant pump (), into a cooling system of the internal combustion engine. A dirt trap is associated as a functional module () with the impeller () on a side facing away from the intake space (), wherein the working medium flows into the functional module () from the intake space via at least one opening () introduced into the impeller and emerges via a flow outlet ().

A control valve for controlling a fluid flow is disclosed, in particular a coolant flow in a coolant circuit of an internal combustion engine, including a valve element which is provided with at least one opening, and which can move relative to a valve housing. With a movement of the valve element, the at least one opening can be brought into a position in which it overlaps a line cross-section defined on the valve housing side, in order to permit a flow of fluid. In addition, a sealing element is provided which is accommodated on the valve housing such that it radially surrounds the line cross-section, and a sealing surface of which can be brought into contact with a surface of the valve element, thus bridging a gap that extends between the surface of the valve element and the valve housing in a region of the sealing element. In order to provide a control valve that has minimal friction losses over the working range thereof, the extent of the gap changes according to the movement of the valve element in relation to the valve housing. In addition, the extent of the gap reaches a maximum in a region in which the at least one opening overlaps the line cross-section, at which extent the sealing element with its sealing surface is raised from the surface of the valve element.

Control valve for controlling a fluid flow

A thermal management valve module having separate first and second flow chambers is provided, with one or more respective inlets and outlets connected to each of the flow chambers. A first valve body is rotatably positioned in the first flow chamber, and includes a fluid pathway that connects a first and/or third inlet to a first outlet, which allows separate or mixed flows, or blocks the flow, based on the valve body position. A second valve body is rotatably positioned in the second flow chamber, and includes a fluid pathway that connects a second and/or fourth inlet to a second outlet, which allows separate or mixed flows, or blocks the flow, based on the valve body position. At least one actuator controls the positions of the first and second valve bodies.

Thermal management valve module with isolated flow chambers

A controllable coolant pump, insertable in a coolant circuit of an internal combustion engine includes a pump housing, in which a hollow pump shaft is supported rotationally with an allocated impeller. Rotation of the impeller conveys coolant. To control a volume conveyed by the coolant pump an axially displaceable guide disk is provided, allocated to the impeller and cooperating with an actuating mechanism. The guide disk is connected to a push rod, guided in the pump shaft, and is displaceable between two end positions defined by a rear wall and a pump cover of the impeller. The actuating mechanism further includes a displacement pump integrated in the coolant pump, with a coolant flow of the displacement pump being supplied for adjustment of the guide disk via a control valve to an actuator, which includes a piston in a pressure chamber in the pump shaft connected to the push rod.

Actuating mechanism to regulate a controllable coolant pump

A regulatable coolant pump for a cooling circuit of an internal combustion engine having a pump housing with a hollow pump shaft with an impeller. Rotation of the impeller moves coolant. An axially displaceable guide disk on the impeller controls a pump displacement volume and works via an actuating mechanism. The guide disk is rigidly connected to a connecting rod guided in the pump shaft. The actuating mechanism includes a displacement pump integrated in the coolant pump, and an actuator formed as a piston-cylinder unit with a pressure chamber in the pump housing that has a circular annular shape positioned to coincide with an outer region of the guide disk. A piston that works together with the guide disk is guided in linearly displaceable fashion in the pressure chamber. A coolant flow of the displacement pump controlled by a control valve charges the pressure chamber to displace the piston.
