A method, implemented in a device, for remote resetting of the device to factory default settings, the device comprising an electric circuit adapted to carry out the factory default reset and a secure processing and storage environment, SPSE, the method comprising: receiving, at the SPSE, a request to reset the device to factory default settings and a challenge associated with the request, wherein the request and the challenge are received via a network; initiating, by the SPSE, a reset to factory default settings of the device by communicating with the electric circuit via a communication channel; and sending, by the SPSE, a confirmation via the network, wherein the confirmation includes a response to the challenge as produced by the SPSE and an attestation report, the attestation report being a declaration by the SPSE that the reset to factory default settings is initiated or carried out.

A method and apparatus for storing video data includes three or more cameras and a storage space. The storage space is partitioned into an initial set of allotted portions for storing video data captured by the video cameras. A video quality value is set for encoding video by each camera, and it is periodically determined whether maintaining the video quality value would cause the camera to exceed the allotted portion of storage space. If it is determined that the amount of video data for a camera exceeds its allotment of space, the video quality is reduced. If it is determined that the video quality from a camera falls below a quality threshold, the storage space is re-partitioned into which increased storage space is allotted to the camera having a video quality that falls below the threshold value, and decreased storage space is allotted to at least one other camera.

The control device comprises: circuitry for determining an access level of a user logged in to the control device; a network interface for receiving the control setup message; control interface setup circuitry for generating a set of control parameters, extract control parameters having an access level equal to or lower than the access level of the user logged in to the control device; and a graphic generating circuitry for generating a graphical control interface comprising control graphics enabling control of different states of operation of the electronic device corresponding to the extracted control parameters.

A method of focusing a camera with a movable field of view includes obtaining a current field of view setting corresponding to a current field of view of the camera, retrieving, based on the obtained current field of view setting, focusing data pertaining to the focusing method that was previously used to focus the camera for a previous field of view, at least partly overlapping the obtained current field of view, by accessing a focusing assisting database comprising a plurality of camera focusing entries. wherein each camera focusing entry includes a respective previous field of view setting, corresponding to a respective previous field of view and thereto associated focusing data pertaining to the focusing method that was previously used to focus the camera for the respective previous field of view.

A method and apparatus are disclosed for configuring access privileges in a system of networked devices. A plurality of access identities is selected and information of access privileges of each of the selected access identities to accessible functions of networked devices is retrieved. The access privileges of the selected access identities for each one of said accessible function of each one of said networked devices is accumulated. The accumulated access privileges are presented for each one of said accessible function of each one of said networked devices in an interface allowing editing of the accumulated access privileges. Change in accumulated access privileges to a specific function in a specific networked device is indicated, and the specific function of the specific networked device is configured for allowing access by the selected users in accordance with the indicated change of accumulated access privileges.
