An electric shaver with a drive shaft having a first rotary axis and a drive pin connected to the drive shaft eccentrically with respect to the rotary axis, and a driven shaft having a second rotary axis. The driven shaft is indirectly coupled to the drive shaft by a gear mechanism capable of converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating motion of the driven shaft.

Electrically driven device

The present invention relates to electric shavers, handpieces of such shavers and a method of manufacturing such electric shavers. More particularly, the present invention relates to a shaver set comprising a plurality of electric shavers.

Electric shaver

Electric shaver provided with a handle and a shaver head including at least one cutter element, wherein the shaver head is connected to the handle by a support structure providing for a swivel and/or tilting axis about which the shaver head may swivel or tilt relative to the handle, wherein the cutter element is drivable by a drive unit in an oscillating manner along a cutter oscillation axis, the drive unit including an elongated drive transmitter coupled to the cutter element.

An electrically driven device provided with a housing, an electric motor with a drive shaft having a first rotary axis and a drive pin connected to the drive shaft eccentrically with respect to the rotary axis, and a driven shaft mounted in the housing for performing a pivoting is disclosed. The driven shaft is indirectly coupled to the drive shaft by means of a gear mechanism converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating pivoting motion of the driven shaft. The gear mechanism comprises one intermediate shaft having a second rotary axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate shaft and at least one crank arm coupled to the drive pin. The crank arm is pivotably mounted in the housing and is coupled to the intermediate shaft thereby converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating pivoting of the intermediate shaft about the second rotary axis. The intermediate shaft is coupled to the at least one driven shaft by means of a pivotable bridge such that the intermediate shaft is offset with respect to the at least one driven shaft.

A novel retarding mechanism is shown to reduce the inertia of the battery shell during a linear detachment movement from a handle of an appliance, such as a battery powered razor or shaver. The retarding mechanism is based on the interaction between the battery shell found on a lower portion of a razor handle and a battery carrier found within the upper portion of a razor handle. Specifically, an engagement spring having at least one knob type structure is mounted on an interior surface of the battery shell and axially engages protrusions and/or recesses on an exterior surface of the battery carrier during a detachment movement of the battery shell. During opening or detachment of the shell, the engagement of the knob with protrusions produces a retarding force effect of the shell during the linear detachment.

Retarding mechanism

The invention relates to an electric shaver comprising at least a first long hair cutter element that is provided with a first under cutter and a first, non-foil type upper cutter, wherein one or both of the first under cutter and the first upper cutter oscillate relative to the other in a direction parallel to an axis (x) and at least one guard that is provided adjacent to the second upper cutter and extends parallel to axis (x), the guard is provided with a comb structure having several teeth each being provided with a skin contact top portion and several slots being provided between the teeth each being having a low portion for guiding the hair in between and wherein the comb structure is provided as a micro comb structure having a depth of the slots from the top portion of the teeth to the low portion of the slots ranging between 0.2 to 0.7 mm.

Dry shaver

The present invention relates to a hand blender having a processing tool for mixing or comminuting foodstuffs. The hand blender has an electric motor, a power source with a first pole electrically connected to the electric motor and a second pole electrically connected to the electric motor, a controller, first and second mechanical switches having a first position and a second position, an electromechanical element for detecting the position of the first mechanical switch, and an electrical switch for detecting the position of the second mechanical switch.

A cleaning device for the shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus includes a receptacle formed in a housing of the cleaning device. The receptacle adapted to receive the shaving head for cleaning with a cleaning fluid. During the cleaning cycle, the dry shaving apparatus is lockable in the cleaning device by means of an interlock. The shaving head is exposed to heat from a heater for drying subsequent to cleaning. A cleaning device for the shaving head of a dry shaving apparatus includes a receptacle having a reservoir adapted to receive the a shaving head and a pump to transfer a cleaning fluid from the reservoir and into the receptacle. A controllable drain disposed between a lower region of the receptacle and the reservoir redirects cleaning fluid away from the reservoir until needed thereby prolonging the time for which the cleaning fluid is in contact with the shaving head to be cleaned.

The invention is directed to a shaving foil for a shaving system of a shaving apparatus, in which the shaving foil cooperates with an undercutter adapted to be driven relative to the shaving foil. The shaving foil includes a perforate region comprised of a plurality of hair-receiving apertures, wherein said apertures form a quasi-periodic pattern executed in accordance with a Penrose parquet.

A shaving system for a dry shaver has at least one long-hair cutter arranged between shaving units for short-hair cutting. The shaving units for short-hair cutting each include an upper blade and a lower blade, which can be moved relative to one another by a drive.
