A camera system () for a commercial vehicle has at least one image capture unit () for capturing an image, an image reproduction unit () for reproducing the captured image at least one functional unit () for performing a vehicle function and at least one control unit () for outputting a control signal. The camera system () transmits a video signal between the control unit () and the image reproduction unit () and controls the image capture unit () and the functional unit () by a control signal outputted from the control unit (). The functional interface () is provided between the image capture unit () and the functional unit (), via which functional interface (), image capture unit () and the functional unit () are coupleable with each other and decoupleable from each other.

A novel housing for an electronic device is located in the passenger compartment of a vehicle. The housing is used to maintain the temperature of the electronic device within its operating temperature range. The housing includes air inlets and outlets through which the temperature-regulated air current from the air conditioning system of the vehicle passes. The temperature-regulated air currents from the air conditioning system that are used to maintain a comfortable temperature in the passenger compartment are also used to regulate the temperature of the electronic device. Thus, the housing allows the temperature of the electronic device to be regulated exclusively using the air current from the air conditioning system. The air duct from the air conditioning system can be connected directly to the housing or can end a distance from the housing so that the air current from the duct is directed to strike the outside of the housing.

A device for adjusting rear view mirrors includes a vehicle-side first element and a movable second element. A reflecting surface is attached to the second element. One of the first or second elements has a concave surface, and the other element has a convex surface. The second element pivots about at least one axis that is fixed with respect to the first element. A joining slot is formed where the convex surface slides over the concave surface. One of the elements has a sealing lip that makes sliding contact with the other element and prevents foreign objects from entering the slot between the convex surface and the concave surface. The sealing lip annularly contacts either the convex surface or the concave surface. Alternatively, the concave surface is formed by a spherical shell, and the sealing lip slides over a second convex surface disposed on the shell opposite the concave surface.

Arrangement for adjusting a rear view mirror for commercial vehicles

A tubular frame section directly or indirectly attached to the vehicle and a mirror unit, attached by a clamping connection to the tubular frame section, whereby the mirror unit in interconnection to an adapter is attached to the tubular frame section. The adapter, which is torque-proof, displacement-resistant and coupleable with a fastening section of the mirror unit, can balance the diameter difference between the fastening section of the mirror unit and the tubular frame section. An inner contour of the adapter is designed so that the adapter can be connected in a form lock for the accurate attachment of the mirror unit to the tubular frame section in such a way that a longitudinal movement of the adapter on the tubular frame section is hindered and the degrees of freedom of the adapter are at least limited in the circumferential direction of the tubular frame section.

A glass carrier plate that includes a front side, a back side and a circumferential edge zone. A mirror plate with a mirror plate front side, a mirror plate back side and a circumferential edge, wherein the mirror plate back side is attached by means of an adhesive layer on the front side of the glass carrier plate. Holding bars extend from the circumferential edge zone of the front side of the glass carrier plate. The holding bars are distributed over the circumferential edge zone and the circumferential edge of the mirror plate engages the holding bars so that the mirror plate is spaced from and positioned over the front side of the glass carrier plate.

A first locking arm connected to a second locking arm on a locking hinge axis. A pair of bearing surfaces on the first locking arm have a first axial spacing, and the second locking arm having a bearing block carrying bearing counter surfaces engaging the bearing surfaces providing a hinged connection between the locking arms. The bearing counter surfaces having a second axial spacing. A first locking element having a first locking surface affixed on one of the bearing surfaces, and a second locking surface affixed on one of the bearing counter surfaces engaging the first locking surface. A spring element biasing the first and the second locking surfaces together. The first axial spacing is less than the second axial spacing so that there is a second spring force acting on the first and second locking surfaces superimposed on the first spring force.

Locking hinge for an exterior vehicle mirror assembly

A retaining hinged connection, with a more simple assembly operation, having fewer components than does the conventional retaining hinges. An outside mirror is proposed to be engaged with such a retaining hinged connection. The connection is achieved in that the retaining axle component is designed with at least one retaining element and advantageously including a compression spring. This invention eliminates the use of bolts for securing the hinge assembly.
