A method for automatically piecing a thread at a workstation of a textile machine, includes seeking an end of the thread on a surface of a bobbin with a suction nozzle and unwinding the thread from the bobbin counter to a regular draw-off direction of the thread and sucking the thread into the suction nozzle. The bobbin is driven in a direction of reverse rotation with a drive. A thread loop is draw-opened in the thread and moved towards a piecing unit via movement of a feeder unit. The bobbin is driven in the direction of reverse rotation during the drawing-open of the thread loop such that the thread is unwound from the bobbin. A speed of reverse rotation of the bobbin is coordinated with movement of the feeder unit.

Method for automatically piecing a thread at a workstation of a textile machine, and textile machine

A spinning-mill machine and associated operational method includes a plurality of cross-winding devices arranged next to each other in a longitudinal direction along each machine side of the spinning-mill machine, wherein each cross-winding device is configured to wind yarn onto a sleeve. The cross-winding devices are arranged into a multiple number of sections along each of the machine sides. A sleeve transport device is arranged along the cross-winding devices on each machine side to supply empty sleeves to cross-winding devices. A plurality of sleeve stacks are configured to stockpile the empty sleeves. A plurality of sleeve storage devices are arranged along each machine side for distributed intermediate storage of the empty sleeves, wherein each cross-winding device is allocated with a single sleeve storage device, or the plurality of the cross-winding devices in each of the sections are allocated to a single one of the sleeve storage devices.

Spinning-mill machine

A spinning-mill machine includes a plurality of cross-winding devices arranged next to each other and in sections in a longitudinal direction along opposite machine sides of the spinning-mill machine, each cross-winding device configured to wind yarn onto a sleeve. A plurality of sleeve stacks are arranged with each machine side and are configured to stockpile empty sleeves. A plurality of sleeve transport devices are configured alongside the cross-winding devices of the machine side, wherein each of the sleeve stacks has one of the sleeve transport devices operationally associated therewith to deliver the sleeves from the sleeve stack to the cross-winding devices.

Spinning-mill machine and a method for operating sleeve transport devices on a spinning-mill machine

The invention relates to a method for the maintenance of a plurality of processing stations () of a textile machine (), whereby at least one first maintenance unit () can travel alongside the processing stations () in order to service and/or control the processing stations (). The maintenance unit () may be moved into an optimized readiness position when none of the processing stations () needs to be serviced and/or controlled by the maintenance unit. Alternatively, the direction of travel in which the maintenance unit () is to travel to the next processing station () in need of service is determined, whereby the direction of travel depends on the totality of processing stations in need of maintenance.

Method for the maintenance of a textile machine

For the piecing of a yarn in an spinning device, various computation formulas are stored in a control device into which calculated values as well as special data converted into numerical values relating in particular to the fiber material, the yarn and the spinning element are first entered to compute and select settings for operations relevant to the piecing process. A feeding device feeding a fiber sliver to the spinning device is first brought to a high pre-feeding speed by means of such pre-programmed values and converted data. From this pre-feeding speed, the feeding speed is greatly decelerated in steps to its piecing feeding speed in coordination with the release of the yarn to be fed back into the spinning element.

Process and device for the piecing of a yarn in an open-end spinning device

A procedure and apparatus for start-up spinning of a thread in an open-end spinning apparatus is provided. A first and second auxiliary roll-pair are presentable within a thread course during start up spinning. A source of a suction air stream within the spinning apparatus is positioned below the first and second roll-pairs. The source of suction air stream creates a suction flow of air to induce the thread end into the spinning apparatus for start up spinning. A control center is in communication with the first and second roll-pairs, so that the control center controls them. A thread storage unit is positioned between the first and second roll-pairs proximal to the course of the thread. The thread storage unit is in communication with the control center so that the thread storage unit is activated to store and release the thread during start up spinning.

Procedure and an apparatus for start-up spinning of the thread in an open-end spinning apparatus

During the pneumatic holding of a yarn spun from fibers, the intensity of the air stream holding the yarn is changed to adapt to the prevailing working conditions. Such a change in intensity of this air stream can take place here in adaptation to different work phases and/or to the character of the held yarn. In order to reduce the intensity of the air stream, a secondary air stream may be fed to it at a point which is not reached by the yarn held by the air stream, or the cross-section of a pneumatic device conveying the air stream is changed. The pneumatic device is associated with an air control device which influences the intensity of the air stream and is connected to a control device which can be adjusted or programmed to take various working conditions into account. By means of the air control device an opening can be controlled through which the line can be connected to the atmosphere surrounding it. Alternatively, the air control device 9 can be provided with a choke which changes the cross-section of the pneumatic device.

Process and device for pneumatic retention of a yarn

A method of stopping a spool which is driven by a continuously rotating spool roller on an open-end spinning machine. The spool is lifted off the spool roller and a braking roller is placed on the peripheral surface of the spool, after which the braking roller is braked to a stop. In this case, the roller is driven substantially at the peripheral speed of the spool roller before being placed on the spool. In order to perform the method, the braking roller has associated with it a braking device which is connected for control purposes to a spool-changing device. The braking device is constructed as a direct-current machine with a resetter.

Method and device for stopping a spool on an open-end spinning machine

In order to form parallel windings in the longitudinal end region of the empty tube, a drive roller, which is driven at a peripheral speed adapted to the constant thread withdrawal speed provided for the subsequent formation of the crosswinding, is placed onto the peripheral surface of the empty tube, which has been lifted from the winding cylinder, and the thread, which is delivered at a constant speed, is passed to the then driven empty tube. After formation of the reserve winding, the empty tube is lowered onto the winding cylinder. The thread is displaced towards the middle of the bobbin and, by way of adaptation to the shortening of the thread run occasioned thereby and to a change in diameter possibly then brought into effect, the peripheral speed of the drive roller is altered to maintain a constant thread wind-on tension. The thread is passed to the cross-winding device, and the drive roller is lifted from the empty tube. To form the reserve winding, a thread guide is movable into the region of the empty tube, which is held at a distance from the winding cylinder by the bobbin-lifting device. The drive of the drive roller together with the thread guide is connected to a common control device.
