A moving robot includes: a main body; a traveling unit configured to rotate and move the main body; a sensing unit configured to sense position information of a specific point of a front portion of a docking device; and a controller configured to, based on sensing result of the sensing unit, determine i) whether a first condition, which is preset to be satisfied when the docking device is disposed in a front of the moving robot, is satisfied, and ii) whether a second condition, which is preset to be satisfied when the moving robot is disposed in a front of the moving robot, is satisfied, to control an operation of the traveling unit so as to satisfy the first condition and the second condition, and to move to the front so as to attempt to dock in a state where the first condition and the second condition are satisfied.

Moving robot and controlling method for the moving robot

A robot cleaner includes a main body, and a wheel unit including a wheel configured to movably support the main body. The wheel unit is installed in a suspension unit and configured to be movable upward or downward. The suspension unit is configured to absorb impact when the wheel unit moves upward or downward, and is installed in a lifting unit coupled to the main body. The suspension unit is configured to be raised or lowered relative to the lifting unit. The lifting unit includes a lifting drive motor including a rotatable shaft disposed in parallel with a direction in which the suspension unit is configured to be raised or lowered, and a transmission unit configured to transmit a rotation force of the lifting drive motor to the suspension unit.

Disclosed is a cleaner including a first body having a cleaning unit, a second body configured to move autonomously, and a sensing module including at least one first sensor disposed on the first body and at least one second sensor disposed on the second body, the sensing module sensing a variable distance between the first sensor and the second sensor. Any one of a number of the at least one first sensor and a number of the at least one second sensor is two or more, and the sensing module senses two variable distances by two different combinations of one first sensor and one second sensor. The cleaner further includes a controller configured to control the second body to follow the first body based on the two variable distances.

The A robot cleaner comprising: a cleaner main body defining an external appearance of the robot cleaner, a suction unit provided in the cleaner main body for suctioning air containing dust, a dust separation unit for separating the dust from the air suctioned through the suction unit, a fan unit connected to the dust separation unit for providing suction force to the suction unit, and a housing having an air flow path for guiding the air discharged from the fan unit, wherein the housing accommodates a battery for supplying electricity to the fan unit, and wherein the air passing through the air flow path exchanges heat with the battery.

The present disclosure discloses a robot cleaner, including a cleaner body; and a sensing unit disposed in the cleaner body, wherein the sensing unit includes a rotating body configured to be horizontally rotatable around a rotation shaft passing through an inside of the cleaner body; a sensing unit mounted on one side of the rotating body to sense a feature or an obstacle in the vicinity of the cleaner body; and a tilting unit installed inside the rotating body to vertically tilt the sensing unit.
