In embodiments, a heat exchanger includes a tube configured to transfer a first fluid. The tube includes an outer surface configured to exchange heat with a second fluid as the second fluid flows over the outer surface of the tube. The tube also includes an inner surface defining an interior configured to contain and transfer the first fluid, and a plurality of surface features integrally formed as part of the inner surface. The surface features may extend radially inward toward the interior, and are configured to increase a surface area of the inner surface to improve heat exchange between the tube and the first fluid.

A heat exchanger is provided with a unitary, single-piece structure that can be formed via 3D printing, for example. The heat exchanger includes a main body a plurality of plates stacked and integrally formed with the body. First fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body, and second fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body and are stacked with the first fluid channels in alternating fashion, separated by the plates. Each of the first fluid channels are fluidly coupled to an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold. A jumper pipe is fluidly coupled to and between an inlet port and the inlet manifold. In an embodiment, the jumper pipe is curved at one end thereof to intersect the inlet manifold at a generally perpendicular angle.

The heat exchanger includes a main body a plurality of plates stacked and integrally formed with the body. First fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body, and second fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body and are stacked with the first fluid channels in alternating fashion, separated by the plates. Each of the first fluid channels define a first flow path, and each of the second fluid channels define a second flow path. A portion of the first flow paths overlap, and are oriented opposite to, a portion of the second flow paths. Another portion of the first flow paths overlap, and are oriented transverse to, another portion of the second flow paths.

At least one of the manifolds is provided with surface features that improve heat exchange within the manifold. The surface features may be, for example, projections such as fins that increase surface area contact between the fluid in the manifold and the interior wall of the manifold.

First fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body and are in fluid communication with the first fluid inlet port. Second fluid channels are defined by gaps in the material of the main body and are in fluid communication with the second fluid inlet port. The first fluid channels and the second fluid channels are interposed between the plates in alternating fashion along the stacked arrangement.

The screw compressor includes a housing having an inlet end and an outlet end for refrigerant to pass into and out of the housing. A motor is within the housing. A plurality of screw sets are arranged about the motor. The screw sets receive refrigerant entering through the inlet, compress the refrigerant between meshed rotors of the plurality of screw sets, and direct refrigerant out of the housing through the outlet end of the housing.

A power inverter for an electric compressor including a rotatable high voltage housing and a rotatable low voltage housing. The rotatable high voltage housing has a high voltage connector, and the rotatable low voltage housing has a low voltage connector. The rotatable low voltage housing and the rotatable high voltage housing are rotatable independent of each other. Each one of the rotatable high voltage housing and the rotatable low voltage housing is independently connectable to an electrical interface of the electric compressor.

The present disclosure provides a heat exchanger for a vehicle. The heat exchanger includes a relay block and a base member. The relay block has a first passage and a second passage. The relay block includes a first connecting surface and a second connecting surface. The base member is formed of plastic. The first connecting surface is configured to be connected to a first connector that is in fluid communication with a first in-vehicle component. The second connecting surface is configured to be connected to a second connector that is in fluid communication with a second in-vehicle component. Heat medium flows into the first in-vehicle component through the first passage and the heat medium flows into the second in-vehicle component through the second passage. The relay block is integrally formed with the base member by molding.
