An anti-tip assembly mounted to a movable carriage of a mobile storage system that is movable along the length of a channel member. The anti-tip assembly includes at least two anti-tip bracket assemblies that are each mounted below the movable carriage and are received within the channel member. Each anti-tip bracket assembly includes a mounting bracket secured to the carriage and an engagement bracket that includes a hook portion. The engagement bracket is laterally movable relative to the mounting bracket such that the location of the hook portion can vary during movement of the movable carriage. The engagement bracket and the mounting bracket are mounted to each other to allow for movement while also limiting lateral movement of the engagement bracket. The hook portion includes an engagement flange that contacts an engagement lip of the channel member to restrict tipping a storage unit supported on the carriage.

In-rail anti-tip bracket for mobile storage systems

A plant processing system includes a mobile cart with a support rail, a rack with a rack rail, and a hanger configured to support one or more plants therefrom. The hanger is hangable from either the support rail or the rack rail. The hanger includes a first end having a hook deigned to engage either the support rail or the rack rail. A second end of the hanger includes a tab having a magnet that engages either the support rail or the rack rail to limit movement of the second end of the hanger. A series of crossbars can be attached to the hanger at select locations along the length of the hanger. Each crossbar is configured to support plants or other items along the length of the hanger.

Plant processing systems

A plant cultivation system that includes a plurality of mobile racks and a plurality of lighting assemblies that are movable relative to each other. The mobile racks are designed to be independently movable along a floor surface and each support a plurality of planting units designed to receive the plants. The lighting assemblies are positioned adjacent to the mobile racks and are supported along an overhead lighting track independent from the mobile racks. Each of the lighting assemblies is movable along a rail of the overhead lighting track to adjust the position of the lighting assemblies relative to the mobile racks. The lighting assemblies are designed such that the mobile racks contact the lighting assemblies to move the lighting assemblies along the lighting track. Each lighting assembly includes one or more lighting fixtures that are operable to provide the required light for growing plants supported on the mobile rack.

High density mobile plant cultivation system

A brake arrangement is provided for a mobile storage unit having a drive arrangement for causing movement of the mobile storage unit. The brake arrangement has a brake member mounted to and rotatable with a drive shaft of the drive arrangement, and acts on the drive shaft when the input force on the drive shaft is relieved. A flexible band is engaged with the brake member and defines a pair of ends that are engaged with a tensioning mechanism. The tensioning mechanism applies a tensioning force to the ends of the brake band to tension the brake band against the brake member to inhibit rotation of the drive shaft and thus movement of the mobile storage unit when the input force is relieved.

Brake arrangement for a mobile storage system

A mechanical safety braking device for use with a mobile storage unit forming a part of the mobile storage system. The device includes an actuating member disposed on a mobile storage unit that is operably connected to a braking mechanism engaged with a motive system for the mobile storage unit. When the actuating member is engaged, the mechanical connection between the actuating member and the braking mechanism causes the braking mechanism to slow and ultimately cease the operation of the motive system and consequent movement of the mobile storage unit.
