Aircraft flight operations datalink for preparing an aircraft for flight, by a particular pilot (crew) for a particular flight plan via a portable computing device. The aircraft flight operations datalink includes a wireless data link; computer processor; data bus; an association with a flight sensor for collecting aircraft position, weather, traffic, terrain, aircraft systems status, aircraft flight envelope parameters, pilot (crew) status/condition; a display system; a ground-to-air data link; and a database of aircraft and pilot data; a flight plan; and flight conditions. In flight operations, the datalink may be utilized to relieve a pilot (crew) from performing tasks necessary to mitigate an emergency or reduce a flight operation urgency.

A mission monitor for planning non-scheduled flight plan operations during a flight such that a user or the system may direct the aircraft to a safe position if the pilot or aircraft cease to perform as planned. Upon user selection or a triggering event the mission monitor may select and cause the aircraft to fly a determined best course of action at any particular point inflight. The mission monitor may remotely and wirelessly receive flight, pilot, aircraft, and operator information. In some implementations mission monitor features may be distributed between individual modules. In one embodiment the system determines current aircraft configuration against an expected aircraft configuration to detect configuration errors, and then utilize configuration errors and error trends to manage aircraft configuration and mission operation. The system may divert the aircraft to the best available landing sites or reconfigure the aircraft to resolve configuration errors.

In case of emergency, the system may provide the pilot with procedure sets associated with a hierarchy of available emergency landing sites (or execute these procedure sets via the autopilot system) depending on the specific nature of the emergency.

A system for collection and distribution of curated tagged content includes a server or collection of servers in communication with one or more networks. The servers receive moment files generated by recording users via recording devices; each moment file is associated with a tagged object (e.g., physical or virtual) and includes associated media content. Each moment file is associated with recorder-side filtering via which a potential reader may be defined as an eligible or ineligible reader of the moment file. The server stores the received moment files to memory and receives indications of reading devices near an associated tagged object.
