A fluidic die may include a substrate supporting a fluid actuator address line and first and second groups of fluid actuators connected to the fluid actuator address line. The first group of fluid actuators may include first and second types of fluid actuators having different operating characteristics. The second group of fluid actuators may include the first and the second types of fluid actuators. The fluid actuators of the first and second groups have addresses such that a fluid actuator of the first type in the first group and a fluid actuator of the second type in the second group are both enabled in response to a single enabling event on the fluid actuator address line.

Fluidic die

A fluid ejection die includes a fluid slot, laterally adjacent fluid ejection chambers each communicated with the fluid slot and having respective drop ejecting elements therein, and orifices each communicated with a respective one of the laterally adjacent fluid ejection chambers. The laterally adjacent fluid ejection chambers are spaced substantially a same distance from the fluid slot along a same side of the fluid slot, and the orifices communicated with the laterally adjacent fluid ejection chambers are spaced different distances from the fluid slot.

Fluid ejection die

According to examples, a multi-layered nozzle fluid ejection device may include a first nozzle layer including a first nozzle layer thickness and a first nozzle layer orifice, and a second nozzle layer including a second nozzle layer thickness and a second nozzle layer orifice. The first nozzle layer orifice may include a first nozzle layer orifice dimension that is different than a second nozzle layer orifice dimension of the second nozzle layer orifice.

Multi-layered nozzle fluid ejection device

In some examples, a fluid ejection device comprises fluid nozzles arranged in a plurality of primitives, wherein a first primitive of the plurality of primitives is interdigitated with a second primitive of the plurality of primitives, the first primitive comprising a series of nozzles starting with a first nozzle of the first primitive, and the second primitive comprising a series of nozzles starting with a first nozzle of the second primitive. The fluid ejection device further comprises a plurality of addresses that designate respective nozzles of the series of nozzles of each primitive of the plurality of primitives, wherein a first address of the plurality of addresses designates the first nozzle of the first primitive and the first nozzle of the second primitive.

An example of a method of forming a printhead includes forming first and second resistors over a first dielectric, forming a first portion of a second dielectric over the first and second resistors and a second portion of the second dielectric over an exposed inclined surface of the first dielectric in a region between the first and second resistors, forming a metal conductor over the first and second portions of the second dielectric, and removing an inclined segment of the metal conductor from an inclined surface of the second portion of the second dielectric to expose the inclined surface of the second portion of the second dielectric.

A printhead assembly is provided, the printhead assembly including a printhead die, a black fluid slot formed in the printhead die to deliver black printing fluid, and a color fluid slot formed in the printhead die to deliver color printing fluid.

Printhead assembly

Printing devices and methods are described. An array of ink nozzles can be arranged in a number of primitives, wherein a first primitive of the number of primitives is interdigitated with a second primitive.

Nozzle layouts for printheads are described. In an example, a printhead includes a first set of drop ejectors having orifices with circular bores, and a second set of drop ejectors having orifices with non-circular bores. A processor receives printing data representing an image to be printed to media, and provides firing data to the printhead for activating the drop ejectors. The firing data selects the drop ejectors with the circular bores to print graphic elements of the image and selecting the drop ejectors with the non-circular bores to print textual elements or line elements of the image.

A print head () includes a layer () which at least partially forms firing chambers () and ribs () in contact with opposing side walls of a fluid feed slot () while extending from a first side wall to a second opposite side wall within the fluid feed slot ().

The described embodiments relate to slotted substrates. One exemplary method forms a feature into a substrate, at least in part, by directing a laser beam at the substrate. During at least a portion of said directing, the method supplies a conductive material proximate the substrate.

A method of manufacturing a fluid ejection device. A plurality of drive transistors is disposed on a substrate, the drive transistors each comprising contacts. A metal layer is disposed over the contacts. The plurality of drive transistors includes a primitive group of drive transistors, and the metal layer includes a power buss covering each of the contacts of the primitive group of drive transistors.

Processing a die that has an edge and a substrate upon which a layer of moisture permeable material is disposed. The moisture permeable material extends to the edge of the die. One embodiment comprises interrupting the layer of moisture permeable material to form a gap at a boundary near the edge, thereby to substantially block movement of moisture through the gap of the moisture permeable material.

A fluid ejection device includes a first heater element and a second heater element spaced a first distance from the first heater element. A first drive transistor is associated with the first heater element and a second drive transistor is associated with the second firing heater element. The second drive transistor is spaced a second distance from the first drive transistor. The second distance is different from the first distance.
