A floor maintenance machine includes a clean fluid tank with a discharge funnel running therethrough that forms part of an exhaust pathway for a vacuum source. The vacuum source discharges an exhaust during operation of the machine from the exhaust outlet into the discharge funnel. The exhaust may be gaseous and/or include a liquid component in the case of a machine malfunction if liquid from a recovery chamber is non-ideally drawn into the vacuum source in the case a fail-safe does not work. The discharge funnel can provide a way for the liquid to exit the interior of the machine in such case.

A floor maintenance machine has an adjustable deck assembly. The floor maintenance machine includes a deck supporting a floor cleaning implement. A lifting arm extends away from a frame of the floor maintenance machine and is rotatably coupled to the deck. The lifting arm is rotatably actuatable to adjust a position of the deck relative to the frame. A support member is rotatably coupled to the frame and movably coupled to the deck. A stop member is supported by the deck and extends toward the lifting arm for selective engagement therewith. When the lifting arm is rotated relative to the frame to lift the deck, the stop member is driven into the lifting arm to limit relative rotation between the lifting arm and the deck beyond a set angle.

A fluid collection system for a floor maintenance machine provides improved collection of fluid, foam, and debris prior to the vacuum source. The fluid collection system includes a recovery chamber defining a volume, a hollow structure (such as a modified skirt) having an internal chamber, and a vacuum source in fluid communication with the volume of the recovery chamber via the internal chamber and a vacuum line. The vacuum source draws a vacuum in the volume of the recovery chamber by drawing a gas from the volume of the recovery chamber through the internal chamber of the hollow structure and through the vacuum line.

A floor maintenance machine includes a clean water tank and a brush deck. A first and second fluid supply system place the clean water tank in fluid communication with outlet(s) at the brush deck. The first fluid supply system includes a first fluid supply line adapted to receive a soap or detergent therein supplied from a soap or detergent well. The second fluid supply system includes an ozone generator and a second fluid supply line adapted to receive injected ozone therein with the ozone being generated from the ozone generator.

The female portion has a central recess with a plurality of pockets extending radially outward from the central recess. Each head section is wider in an angular direction than the corresponding neck section.

A floor cleaning apparatus includes a chassis having a forward end and a rearward end. A plurality of floor engaging wheels support the chassis above a floor. A first tank is supported by the chassis for holding a cleaning solution that is dispensed onto the floor. A second tank is supported by the chassis for holding cleaning solution recovered from the floor. A squeegee assembly is supported by the chassis rearwardly of the forward end and in fluid communication with the second tank, wherein recovered cleaning solution drawn into the squeegee assembly is deposited into the second tank. A gas is directed toward the floor rearwardly of the squeegee assembly along substantially the entire length of the squeegee assembly to evaporate cleaning solution dispensed from the first tank and not recovered by the squeegee assembly.

A cleaning apparatus having a cleaning system including at least one downwardly directed spray nozzle is supported by the chassis proximal the chassis forward end and in fluid communication with at least one cleaning solution tank. The at least one spray nozzle sprays cleaning solution from the tank onto the floor. At least one ground engaging agitation brush is disposed rearwardly of the at least one spray nozzle for agitating the cleaning solution sprayed onto the floor. At least one vacuum shoe is supported by the chassis rearwardly of the at least one agitation brush, and in fluid communication with the at least one recovery tank. Cleaning solution drawn into the vacuum shoe is deposited into the at least one recovery tank. In one embodiment, the apparatus is drivable. In another embodiment, the apparatus includes a second cleaning system including a vacuum squeegee.
