A base station antenna includes a remote electronic tilt ('RET') actuator, a phase shifter having a moveable element and a mechanical linkage extending between the RET actuator and the phase shifter. The mechanical linkage includes an adjustable RET linkage that has a first link that has a first connection element, a second link that has a second connection element and a connecting member that includes at least a third link. The adjustable RET linkage includes at least a first hinge and a second hinge.

A deroll control system includes an outer housing, a detector configured to capture an image, an annular torsional flexure, at least one drive and a controller configured to control the at least one drive. The annular torsional flexure has a rotatable inner mount surface to which the detector is mounted, a fixed outer mount surface fixed to the outer housing and spaced radially apart from the rotatable inner mount surface, and a flexure region having a plurality of flexures spaced radially between the inner mount surface and the outer mount surface. The at least one drive is coupled to the inner mount surface of the torsional flexure and is configured to cause a counter-rotation of the inner mount surface and the detector about a central rotational axis perpendicular to an image plane to correct a rotation of the image as the detector is capturing the image.

The inner crossbar segment comprises a structure interface to mount to a structure, and an inner isolator interface operable to mount to the isolator. The isolator can be supported by the outer and inner crossbar segments. The damper is adjacent the isolator. The isolator is operable to deform in response to relative movement between the outer and inner crossbar segments. The isolator operates to partially decouple the outer crossbar segment from the inner crossbar segment and the damper dampens vibrations propagating between the outer and inner crossbar segments.

Internally damped crossbar assembly having a friction damped isolator

A crossbar system for facilitating isolation of a sensor assembly from external vibrations of a support structure. The crossbar system comprises first and second crossbar assemblies and a payload mount, Each of the first and second crossbar assemblies comprises a crossbar segment and a slip plate damper. Each crossbar segment comprises a payload mount interface at a first end of the crossbar assembly and a first support structure interface at a second end of the crossbar assembly. Each slip plate damper is disposed about the crossbar segment and is slidably coupled to the crossbar segment to constrain movement in two lateral degrees of freedom and to facilitate movement in a longitudinal degree of freedom, Each slip plate damper comprises a second support structure interface at the second end of the crossbar assembly. Composite cables suitable for use in conjunction with wellbore tools. One cable may include a polymer composite that includes dopants dispersed in a polymer matrix and continuous fibers extending along an axial length of the cable through the polymer matrix, wherein the cable is characterized by at least one of the following: (1) at least a portion of the cable having a density greater than about 2 g/cm3, wherein at least some of the dopants have a density of about 6 g/cm3 or greater, (2) at least a portion of the cable having a density less than about 2 g/cm3, wherein at least some of the dopants have a density of about 0.9 g/cm3 or less, (3) at least some of the dopants are ferromagnetic, or (4) at least some of the dopants are hydrogen getters.

Disclosed is a release tool used to separate portions of a tool string. One release tool includes a main body, a bolt housing coupled to the main body and defining a bore for receipt of a separation bolt therein, the separation bolt being configured to couple the bolt housing to a lower sub, and a trigger mechanism communicably coupled to the separation bolt and configured to send an electrical signal to the separation bolt whereupon the separation bolt breaks and thereby allows the lower sub to separate from the bolt housing.

Systems and methods for releasing a tool string

Base station antennas include a RET actuator, a plurality of phase shifters and a plurality of mechanical linkages, where each mechanical linkage is connected between the RET actuator and a respective one or more of the phase shifters. The RET actuator includes a drive element, a rotatable element and a mechanical linkage selection system that is configured to move a selected one of the mechanical linkages into engagement with the drive element. The drive element is configured to move linearly in response to rotation of the rotatable element to move the selected one of the mechanical linkages.

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for using an audible signal to monitor conditions at a downhole location in a well through use of a well cable containing a fiber optic, which may be either a slickline or a wireline fiber-optic cable, and providing an audible signal which varies in response to the monitored condition. The condition monitored can be strain in the fiber optic well cable, which can be sensed in one or more locations in the fiber optic well cable, in many examples through use of a sensor such as a Bragg grating associated with or formed in an optical fiber within the well cable. In some examples, a temperature measurement may be used to compensate for temperature effects impacting the strain measurement.

Auditory monitoring of downhole conditions through a fiber optic cable

A chain of bend-limiter segments is coupled together. The chain has a first end and a second end. The chain is bendable such that an angle between the first end and the second end is at least N degrees and a radius of curvature of the chain is at least M. A cable is inserted through the chain from the first end to the second end. The chain and the cable are coupled to a tool. The tool is pulled using the cable. The chain maintains a radius of curvature of the cable greater than M and prevents a stress level in the cable from exceeding a yield point.

In accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure, a shape memory alloy rope socket for a downhole tool is disclosed. The rope socket includes a coupler formed of a shape memory alloy. The rope socket further includes a housing surrounding the coupler. The housing including a pathway and a connector for attaching a downhole tool is attached. The rope socket further includes a line passing through the pathway and the coupler such that the coupler is in contact with the line along a length of the coupler when the coupler is in a reduced diameter state.
