A milling machine table device comprises a rigid longitudinal body having longitudinal surfaces parallel to each other along a length of the body configured to be attachable to a vise; and two rigid legs of equal length extending from the longitudinal body in a fixed position, each leg comprising a portion configured to engage a t-slot of the milling machine table there beneath. Also, a milling machine table device comprises two legs of equal length extending from the longitudinal body, each leg configured with a portion configured to engage a t-slot of the milling machine table and indicators disposed in one of the body and the two legs, the indicators comprising an adjustable probe configured to indicate an orthogonal distance from one of a vise jaw and an edge of a t-slot to an end of the probe. A method for calibrating and squaring the device is also included herein.

Vise square device and method of use

A gauge sets a height of a lathe cutter to a spindle axis. The gauge comprises an adjustable housing and a level vial, a longitudinal positioning of the level vial to be perpendicular to the spindle axis. A bubble in the level vial is longitudinally centered therein and the adjustable housing is fixed in place relative to the gauge. A chamfered notch in the gauge is slidable along a length of a shaft positioned in the spindle thereof. Flexible prongs secure the level vial relative to the adjustable housing. One of a set screw, a clamp and rubber bands secure the level vial relative to the adjustable housing. A receptacle in the gauge receives a shaft positioned in the spindle and enables laterally adjusting the gauge on a length of the shaft until the contact face of the gauge is laterally aligned with the tip of the lathe cutter.

Lathe cutter height gauge and method of use

A disclosed archery fletching sleeve system and method of application and manufacture includes a fletching sleeve configured to frictionally fit onto an arrow shaft. The fletching sleeve defines glue application holes, slots, slits and channels or cavities on an inner surface thereof adjacent the glue holes to draw an applied glue therein via a capillary effect and/or an accordion bellows pumping effect. Additional slots and/or slits allow the sleeve to elastically stretch like an accordion to fit a wide range of arrow shaft diameters. The fletching sleeve also comprises a stretchable corrugated sleeve body having an outer diameter to tangential to an outer surface of a plurality of alternating longitudinal ridges thereon and an inner diameter tangential to an inner surface of a plurality of alternating longitudinal grooves thereon, the inner diameter configured to stretchably fit the arrow shaft having a diameter greater than and/or equal to the sleeve inner diameter.

Fletching sleeve system and method of application and manufacture

A disclosed fletching sleeve system and method of application and manufacture includes a fletching sleeve configured to frictionally fit onto an arrow shaft. The sleeve defines glue application holes and channels or cavities on an inner surface thereof adjacent the glue holes. Glue disposed on the arrow shaft at the holes is drawn into conduits formed between the channels and/or cavities with the arrow shaft. The sleeve also comprises three vanes formed integrally with the sleeve as one piece. One of the vanes may comprise a recessed surface to receive a decorating or indicia sticker flush with the vane. A collet application tool comprises two semi-cylindrical fingers extending orthogonally from a handle body, the fingers configured to hold and expand the sleeve as it and the collet are slid over the arrow nock and shaft. A dual core pin method of manufacturing enables forming a straighter sleeve and facilitates draft.

An archery bow comprises an archery bow body defining opposing limb tips, a bowstring extending between the limb tips along a bowstring axis, and an elongate member extending from the bow body, the elongate member having a length and a proximal end arranged adjacent the bowstring. The archery bow further comprises a dampening element made of a vibration dampening material mounted to the proximal end of the elongate member between the proximal end and the bowstring. The elongate member extends from the bow body along a first axis non-perpendicular to the bowstring axis. Additionally, the elongate member may be curved along at least a portion of its length. In certain embodiments, the archery bow body defines a nested mounting area configured as an open channel to receive a distal end of the elongate member.

Bowstring vibration dampener and mounting

A system and method for quick and accurate tramming are disclosed. The system includes an apparatus comprising a plurality of indicators spaced apart in a plane perpendicular to a body shank and connected thereto, the body shank configured to be received into the spindle. The system also includes a calibration device configured to temporarily remain fixed in place on the mill table to provide a single point of calibration for each indicator received in the apparatus. The method includes calibrating the indicators one at a time by positioning an indicator shank tip atop the calibration device and adjusting the indicator to read a calibration value common to all the indicators. The spindle is moved toward the mill table until at least one indicator tip touches the mill table and the mill head is adjusted until all indicator tips touch the mill table and all indicators read the same value.

System and method for quick and accurate tramming

Adaptors for mounting arrowheads to arrow shafts are disclosed. Example embodiments include an outer attachment portion that engages the outer surface of a hollow arrow shaft, and an inner attachment portion that engages the inner surface of the hollow arrow shaft. Other embodiments may include single-piece adaptors configured to receive the end of a hollow arrow shaft, and adaptors with arrowhead receiving portions. Still other embodiments may include an inner attachment portion that is inserted into the hollow of a hollow arrow shaft and an outer attachment portion that surrounds and receives the outer surface of the hollow arrow shaft.

Adaptors for mounting arrowheads to arrow shafts

An archery bow comprises an archery bow body defining opposing limb tips and a bowstring extending between the limb tips. The archery bow includes an elongate member extending from the bow body, the elongate member having a length and a proximal end arranged adjacent the bowstring. Additionally, the archery bow includes a dampening element made of a vibration dampening material mounted to the proximal end between the proximal end and the bowstring, the dampening element having a contact face adapted to contact the bowstring. In certain embodiments, the dampening element includes a laterally protruding rib extending outward from the contact face along at least a portion thereof to engage the bowstring when the bowstring is released.

Bowstring dampener

A new and useful device and method is provided, for sighting an arrow being shot from a bow. A sight pin adjustment mechanism is associated with a plurality of sight pins, and is uniquely configured to be manipulated to simultaneously adjust each of the sight pins according to a predetermined trajectory formula that is at least partially related to the speed of an arrow as it leaves the bow. In one preferred form of the present invention, the sight includes an arrow speed calibration scale that is selectively moveable relative to an archery bow, and the plurality of sight pins are simultaneously moveable relative to the arrow speed calibration scale, and according to the predetermined trajectory formula. Also in a preferred form of the present invention, the sight pin adjustment mechanism comprises a shaft that is supported on the housing and has a plurality of lead screw portions, each of which is coupled with a respective sight pin. The pitch of each lead screw portion is determined according to the predetermined trajectory formula, to enable simultaneous adjustment of respective sight pins according to the predetermined trajectory formula.
