A fiber optic pigtail assembly that includes a plurality of optical fibers and at least one optical connector. The optical fibers each have a first end opposite a second end. The plurality of optical fibers are ribbonized together from the first end of each of the plurality of optical fibers partway toward the second end of each of the plurality of optical fibers and form a ribbonized end portion. The at least one optical connector is connected to the second end of each of the plurality of optical fibers. A loose portion of the plurality of optical fibers is positioned between the at least one optical connector and the ribbonized end portion.

A telecommunications enclosure having a door hingedly attached to a chassis. The chassis has a first through-hole configured to have at least one patching panel installed therein. A different enclosure, like the telecommunications enclosure, is mountable on the door. The door is rotatable relative to the chassis between closed and open positions when the different enclosure is mounted thereto. The door allows access to an interior of the chassis when the door is in the open position. The chassis and/or the door may have a second through-hole configured to allow a telecommunications cable connected to the at least one patching panel to pass therethrough and exit the interior of the chassis.

A fiber channel verification system provides a fiber optic network design platform that allows a user to create a graphical mock-up of a fiber optic network design, and performs fault analytics on the proposed design to identify potential faults or problems with the design. The verification system can guide the user through the process of specifying network components such as trunk cables, patch cables, fiber optic cassettes, connectors, or other such components suitable for a given networking application. The verification also allows the user to define connections between the selected components. During development or after the design is complete, the verification system can analyze each channel of network design and identify improper fiber connections, network component incompatibilities, incorrect polarities, excessive insertion or return losses, or other such problems. The verification system can also provide recommendations for eliminating discovered problems where appropriate.

Cables boxes and cable distribution systems securely store and route network cables of different types and/or security classifications. More specifically, a service cable box can include one or more chambers that can secure secondary network cables of one or more types and/or classifications. The service cable box can have secure and unsecure connection chambers. Accordingly, the service cable box can segregate network connections of different types and/or security classifications and can selectively provide secured access thereto.

Implementations of the present invention include a cable consolidation box for providing secure access to networks with multiple security classifications. More specifically, the cable consolidation box can allow a network administrator to physically secure network cables originating from multiple networks having distinct security classifications. In one or more implementations, the cable consolidation box can have a plurality of entry points that are segregated from one another. Each of the plurality of entry points can be associated with a corresponding plurality of segregated connection chambers. The cable consolidation box can thus allow for various types of cables, with various levels of security classification, to be associated with a single cable consolidation box.
