A light source for plant cultivation and a plant cultivation method are provided. The plant cultivation method includes planting germinated seeds of a plant; and growing the plant by applying light treatment to the plant. In growing the plant, main light treatment of supplying main light to the plant and dark treatment of cutting off supply of the main light to the plant are alternated. The main light has at least two peak wavelengths in the visible light spectrum. In addition, the main light has a PPFD of greater than 92 μmol/m/s to less than 198 μmol/m/s.

Light source for plant cultivation and method for plant cultivation

A light module includes a first light emitter, a second light emitter, a third light emitter, and a controller. The first light emitter is configured to emit a first light having a first peak wavelength in a visible range, the second light emitter is configured to emit a second light having a waveform having a second peak wavelength higher than the first peak wavelength, and the third light emitter is configured to emit a third light having a third peak wavelength that is shorter than the first peak wavelength. The controller is configured to control the first light emitter, the second light emitter, and the third light emitter to generate a first light pattern and a second light pattern. A light source can include at least one light emitter and is configured to emit a first light during a region of a light period and emit both the first light and a second light of a different wavelength during a remaining region of the light period. The emitter can include semiconductor layers and an active layer configured to emit light having a specific wavelength due to a band gap difference in an energy band depending on a material used to form the active layer. A plant cultivation device can include the light source and a main body in which a plant can be grown. The light period can be configured to increase a content of an active ingredient in the plant. The first light can have a longer peak wavelength than a peak wavelength of the second light.

A light source includes a controller configured to turn on or off a plurality of light sources depending on a light period. The controller can be configured to turn on the light sources during each of a plurality of light periods such that the light sources emit a light having a spectrum with a plurality of peaks toward the plant. At least one light period can include a first period and a second period and the first period preceding or following the second period. The controller can adjust the spectrum of the light between the first period and the second period and/or during different light periods.

A light device for plant cultivation is disclosed. The light device for plant cultivation includes a light source unit including multiple first light source modules and multiple second light source modules. The multiple first light source modules and the multiple second light source modules may emit light for plant cultivation toward a plant. The multiple first light source modules are arranged at constant intervals. The multiple second light source modules are disposed at least between a pair of first light source modules disposed at both ends of the light source unit.
