A display apparatus, a power supply apparatus and a power supply method thereof are provided. The display apparatus includes: a signal processor which processes an image signal; a display unit which displays thereon an image corresponding to the processed image signal; and a power supply unit which receives an input of AC power and supplies operating power to the display unit. The power supply unit includes a discharging circuit unit which discharges a remaining voltage of the power supply unit if the input of the AC power is suspended, and does not discharge the voltage if the AC power is input. Accordingly, a remaining voltage from a power supply unit is effectively removed if an input of AC power is suspended, and power consumption does not occur if the AC power is input.

Display apparatus, power supply apparatus and power supply method thereof

A display apparatus and a power supplying method are provided. The display apparatus includes a signal receiver which receives a video signal; a signal processor which processes the video signal; a display unit which displays an image based on a video signal processed by the signal processor; and a power supply which converts an alternating current (AC) voltage into a direct current (DC) voltage and supplies an operation voltage to the display unit, the power supply including: a power factor correction (PFC) unit which adjusts the DC voltage and corrects a power factor of the power supply; a detector which detects a plurality of voltages in the power supply and outputs a common detection signal indicating whether at least one of the plurality of voltages is abnormal; and a controller which receives the common detection signal, and controls the PFC unit based on the common detection signal.

An image forming apparatus includes at least one supporting roller, a movable belt supported by the supporting roller, and a shifting restricting unit to prevent the movable belt from shifting to any one side along an axial direction of the supporting roller. A standby power supply apparatus is provided in which a supply voltage of the standby power source, supplied before electronic apparatuses such as TVs or video players are switched on, is reduced by half to sharply reduce the consumption of the standby electric power. According to the standby power supply apparatus, it is possible to reduce by half the electric power loss due to switching the standby power converter controlling the standby electric power of the power supply apparatus on and off. Additionally, the standby electric power can be sharply reduced without an additional increase in manufacturing costs of the power supply apparatus.
