An electric transportation system is disclosed. In one aspect, the system includes a wheel, a rechargeable battery having positive and negative poles, and a motor mechanically connected to the wheel and configured to generate a regeneration charge current, the motor including a coil. The system also includes a motor driver connected to the motor and the battery. The motor driver is configured to discharge the battery during a supply period so as to drive the motor and charge the battery with the regeneration charge current, wherein the motor driver includes a plurality of transistors electrically connected to the negative pole during a non-driving period. The system further includes a controller connected to the motor driver and configured to control the motor driver so as to drive the motor during the supply period and control the motor driver so as to charge the battery during the non-driving period.

A device for controlling a charging voltage, includes: a voltage drop unit configured to drop a voltage by a preset magnitude; a voltage comparison unit configured to compare a charging voltage of a battery with a first reference voltage and to output a path selection signal through an output terminal; a first path configured to connect the battery to a charging power supply; a second path configured to connect the battery to the charging power supply, with the voltage drop unit being interposed between the battery and the charging power supply; and a path selector configured to select one from the first path and the second path according to the path selection signal.

A battery pack including a battery and a battery protection circuit is disclosed. In one aspect, the battery protection circuit comprises a protective device configured to inhibit a flow of current between an electrode of the circuit and the battery when activated. The battery protection circuit further comprises a primary protection circuit and a secondary protection circuit. The primary protection circuit is configured to generate a control signal for control the protective device when detecting an abnormal voltage in a unit cell of the battery. The secondary protection circuit is configured to activate the protective device, either when receiving the control signal from the primary protection circuit or when detecting an abnormal voltage in a unit cell of the battery.
