A backlight unit for slimmed structure and exhibiting uniform brightness through the improvement of its luminance efficiency and the quality in appearance of which is improved by the removal of bright lines, and a liquid crystal display device having the same are disclosed. The backlight unit includes a plurality of light emitting lamps disposed above a cover bottom such that the light emitting lamps are arranged at regular intervals, a diffusion plate disposed above the light emitting lamps, the diffusion plate including a substrate, a light control part formed on the bottom surface of the substrate corresponding to the light emitting lamps, and lens parts mounted on the top surface of the substrate, and an optical film disposed above the diffusion plate.

Backlight unit and liquid crystal display device having the same

A structure for assembling lamp wires for a backlight into an LCD module is disclosed, in which the lamp wire for providing a power to a lamp is stably connected to the lamp. In the structure, a mold frame includes an opening formed at one portion slightly apart from one corner at a predetermined distance, for connecting and supporting wires connected to both ends of the lamp, the wires being folded or bent several times at different portions in the mold frame and being extracted to the outside of the LCD module through the opening. Meanwhile, an inserting recess is formed at the opening, and the wires connected together by the connector are inserted to the inserting recess.

Structure for assembling lamp wires for backlight assembly into liquid crystal display module

A flat panel display device uses a side mounting method to hold a flat panel display. In particular, the flat panel display device has an outer casing having at least one side wall, a frame that supports a liquid crystal display panel and has at least one side panel, a top case configured to engage the frame with the liquid crystal panel therebetween and a bracket disposed between the side panels of the frame and the top case. The top case has at least one side panel and the side panel defines an opening. The bracket has a projecting part configured to be fitted in the opening of the side panel of the top case. The frame is secured to the side wall of the outer casing with a fastener coupled to the bracket through the outer casing.

Backlight assembly of liquid crystal display device

A wire-connecting device that is capable of preventing deterioration or breakage of a wire connected to a lamp electrode of a liquid crystal display module. In the device, a clamp presses and secures the electrode to the wire. The lamp electrode and the wire are connected to each other by means of the clamp, providing a secure conductive connection. The wire-connecting device also prevents the penetration of lead by capillary action into the conductive core of the wire, thereby preventing the wire from becoming brittle and subject to breakage as a result of penetrated lead curing in the conductive core of the wire.

An LCD monitor for a computer includes an LCD module, a front frame and a rear main frame, where the front frame has a vertical flange portion corresponding to sides of the LCD module. A bracket is provided and has a vertical coupling portion for coupling to the flange of the front frame. A monitor case is provided for encasing the LCD module. A horizontal coupling portion is provided for coupling to the rear main frame such that the front frame, rear main frame and the monitor case are all coupled together using a novel side-mounting technique.

Disclosed is a portable computer which includes a display panel having a front surface, a plurality of side surfaces and a bottom surface, the front surface including a display area; an upper supporting frame covering an edge or peripheral region of the display area of the display panel; a lower supporting frame supporting the bottom of the display panel and contacting the bottom surface; and a fastening unit having a main portion and a bent portion vertical to the main frame, the main portion secured to the lower supporting frame, the bent portion contacting the side surface, and having a screw hole. Using the fastening unit according to the invention, there are described advantages that the lower supporting frame is firmly supported and the side mounting method can be applied to a thin liquid crystal display device regardless of a thickness of the lower supporting frame.
