Methods are provided for acutely treating migraine headache with or without aura. The methods comprise administering to a subject with migraine headache an effective dose of a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising dihydroergotamine (DHE) or a salt thereof, wherein the dose is administered by an intranasal delivery device that provides, following intranasal administration, (a) a mean peak plasma DHE concentration (C) of at least 750 pg/ml, (b) with a mean time to C(T) of DHE of less than 45 minutes, and (c) a mean plasma AUCof DHE of at least 2500 pg*hr/ml. Also provided are kits for acutely treating migraine with or without aura in which a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising DHE or DHE salt is contained within a sealed vial that is attachable to a precision intranasal olfactory delivery device packaged therewith.

An interventional catheter assembly comprising a catheter for insertion and guidance to a target site in a body lumen or a cavity and an operating head mounted in proximity to a distal end of the catheter and comprising a system for removing obstructive material from the target site is provided. In certain embodiments, the catheter assembly includes at least one aspiration port located proximal to the operating head that communicates with a first sealed lumen for withdrawing fluids and obstructive material from the target site. The catheter assembly may also include at least one liquid infusion port that communicates with a second sealed lumen for supplying fluid to a location in proximity to the target site. Kits including the interventional catheter assembly with an aspiration and/or infusion conduit are also provided.

Interventional catheters incorporating aspiration and/or infusion systems

An interventional catheter assembly has an operating head and catheter system that are inserted and navigated within a patient's body while an operator controls the system externally of the operating head. An operating head is positioned at or near a distal end of the catheter system and coupled to a drive shaft and drive system for rotation. A guidewire brake control system interrupt prevents the drive system from being actuated when the guidewire brake is in a released position, and a selectable guidewire brake interrupt override control permits an operator to translate and/or rotate the drive shaft and operating head while the guidewire is simultaneously moved. This allows withdrawal of the guide wire and the operating head from the target site while rotating the operating head.

Interventional catheter assemblies, control systems and operating methods

An interventional catheter assembly comprising a catheter for insertion and guidance to a target site in a body lumen or a cavity and an operating head mounted in proximity to a distal end of the catheter and comprising a system for removing obstructive material from the target site is provided. In certain embodiments, the catheter assembly includes at least one aspiration port located proximal to the operating head that communicates with a first sealed lumen for withdrawing fluids and obstructive material from the target site, together with at least one liquid infusion port penetrating the catheter and located proximal to the at least one aspiration port that communicates with a second sealed lumen for supplying fluid to a location in proximity to the target site.

Surgical drape and panel assembly

Intralumenal material removal systems are provided using an advanceable and rotatable cutter assembly designed for differential cutting. The intralumenal material removal system includes a cutter assembly positionable in the body cavity of a mammalian subject. One embodiment of the cutter assembly includes a cutter with blades that are designed and arranged to form an acute blade angle of attack with the matter-to-be-removed. The cutter assembly is axially advanceable by translating the drive shaft and rotatable by rotating the drive shaft. The occlusive material is scraped by the cutter assembly and may be aspirated to remove the material from the body cavity. The cutter assembly may provide aspiration ports positioned between facing surfaces of the blades.
