A microphone device generates a transmit audio stream via at least one microphone on the microphone device. The microphone device transmits the transmit audio stream to the computing device via a first wireless connection and ignores a receive audio stream received from the computing device via the first wireless connection. The speaker device obtains a set of connection parameters for the first wireless connection between the microphone device and the computing device, intercepts the receive audio stream transmitted using the first wireless connection from the computing device to the microphone device, and plays the receive audio stream on a speaker of the speaker device.

Distributed microphone in wireless audio system

An apparatus includes a network circuit to communicate with a network and a server on the network. The apparatus includes a wireless circuit to communicate with another wireless device. The apparatus includes control logic to determine that the other wireless device is within a given proximity of the apparatus, and to determine that the other wireless device is configured to perform automatic pairing. The control logic is further to, based on a determination that the other wireless device is within the given proximity of the apparatus and is configured to perform automatic pairing, access the server to determine whether to perform automatic pairing with the other wireless device. The control logic is to pair with the other wireless device without further input from a user of the apparatus.

Method for out-of-the-box pairing for unassociated wireless devices

Systems and methods for modifying mobile communication device settings are disclosed. The method generally includes providing a server at the headset, transmitting headset settings from the server to a client device, receiving modified settings, and implementing the modified settings.

Methods and apparatuses for wearing state device operation are disclosed. In one example, a headset includes a sensor for detecting a headset donned state or a headset doffed state. The headset operation is modified based on whether the headset is donned or doffed.

Systems and methods for establishing conference calls using a headset are presented. The headset includes a wireless communications transceiver operable to form a first local wireless link with a first local telephone in communication with a first far end telephone user and a second local wireless link with a second local telephone in communication with a second far end telephone user. The headset further includes a processor operable to establish a conference call between the headset user, the first far end telephone user, and the second far end telephone user.
