A dry material transfer pump comprises an outer tube including an outer tube channel having an upstream end that is axially aligned with a downstream end thereof, and a plenum portion having a cross-sectional width that is larger than a cross-sectional width of the outer tube channel. A pressurized gas inlet is defined through the outer tube and is in fluid communication with the plenum portion. An inner tube is disposed annularly within the outer tube channel and defines an inner tube channel configured to receive particulate matter. At least one opening is defined radially through a wall of the inner tube and fluidly couples the plenum portion to the inner tube channel to allow the pressurized gas to flow from the plenum portion into the inner tube channel and create suction within the inner tube channel for drawing the particulate matter through the inner tube channel.

A method of manufacturing a media assembly comprises winding a filter media about a center axis into a media roll and cutting the media roll along at least two cut lines and into at least two media packs of at least two media assemblies. The media roll is cut along at least one plane that is parallel to the center axis.

Filter assemblies with unique shapes

A filtration system includes an air cleaner housing and a filter element. The air cleaner housing includes a base and a removable cover. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.

Arched air filter

An air filter assembly comprises a housing, a filter element and a permeable baffle. The housing comprises an outer wall with a substantially cylindrical inner surface, an inlet, and an outlet. The inlet is positioned along and extends through the outer wall. The outlet is positioned along and extends through an axial end of the housing. The filter element comprises a filter media with a substantially cylindrical outer surface. The filter element is positionable within the housing. The permeable baffle is positioned between the inlet and the filter element. The permeable baffle allows at least some air to flow therethrough.

Panel filter elements having a pleat block and a seal member are described. The panel filter elements are arranged such that the seal members and pleat blocks can have curved and/or angled elements. The seal member of a filter element may be curved, angled, twisted, and/or has a varying cross-section. The inlet and outlet faces of the pleat block of the filter element may be curved and/or twisted instead of planar. In some arrangements, both the seal member of the filter element and the faces of the pleat blocks can be curved and/or twisted. The described filter elements may be may be flexible, such that the shape of the filter element and/or seal can conform to the shape of a filter housing, or rigid, such that the shape of the filter element remains substantially the same before and after installation into a filter housing.

Panel filter element

Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system. The filtration system comprises a housing having a first housing end and a second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing comprises a first alignment portion disposed on the first housing end. The filtration system further comprises a filter element positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter element has a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.

A filter element including a first endplate, a second endplate, filter media fitted between the first endplate and the second endplate, the first endplate including an opening that allows a working fluid to flow into or out of the filter media, the filter media allowing the working fluid to be filtered through the filter media and a seal member having an oval profile disposed on the first endplate and configured to seal with a filter housing, the seal member including an inner perimeter and an outer perimeter including a plurality of outwardly curved surfaces.

A filter assembly that includes a filter housing with a housing interlocking feature, a filter cover with a filter cover interlocking feature, and a filter element with a filter element interlocking feature is disclosed. The filter element is positionable within the filter housing, and the filter cover is attachable to a top portion of at least one of the filter element and the filter housing. The housing interlocking feature, the filter cover interlocking feature, and the filter element interlocking feature are interlockable with each other and extend in a nonplanar configuration along at least one side of the filter element when the filter housing, the filter cover, and the filter element are assembled together.

A filter element includes first filter media, second filter media, a frame, and a seal member. The frame is coupled to the first filter media and the second filter media, the frame securing the first filter media and the second filter media into a V-shape. The seal member is attached to and extends from the frame. The seal member includes a U-shaped channel structured to receive a ridge of a housing when the filter element is installed in the housing. The seal member is structured to form a seal between the filter element and the housing when the filter element is installed in the housing.

Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system and methods for the installation and use of such a filtration system. According to a set of embodiments, the filtration system comprises a housing that defines a central compartment therein. The filtration system further comprises a filter cartridge positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter cartridge comprises a filter media and an identification element. The filtration system further comprises a sensor. The sensor is structured to sense the identification element of the filter cartridge. The filtration system further comprises a filter blocking mechanism communicably coupled to the sensor. The filter blocking mechanism is structured prevent installation of the filter cartridge into the housing unless filter cartridge information of the identification element sensed by the sensor is identified as corresponding to an authorized filter cartridge.

Disclosed here is a composite filter media having at least one nanofiber layer bonded to a substrate layer, the at least one nanofiber layer optionally having a plurality of nanofibers having a geometric mean diameter of less than or equal to 0.5 &#x3bc;m, the at least one nanofiber layer having a thickness of about 1-100 &#x3bc;m.

Nanofiber filter media for high performance applications

An external brace for a filter element is described. The brace is configured to wrap around an exterior of a filter element having a filter media pack. The brace helps to support the filter media pack during filtering operations by preventing outward flexing of the filter media pack caused by fluid flowing through the filter media. In some arrangements, the brace interfaces with a filtration system housing to provide additional support to the filter element.
