A hybrid LIDAR systemincludes a flash-based LIDAR detector array. A broad laser emitter is operatively connected to the LIDAR detector array for flash-based LIDAR sensing. A first beam steering mechanism is operatively connected with the broad laser emitter for scanning a scene with a broad beam from the broad laser emitter. A second beam steering mechanism is operatively connected with the LIDAR detector array for directing returns of the broad beam from the scene to the LIDAR detector array.

Hybrid lidar system

A method of laser distance measurement includes issuing a command from a single controller to a laser pulse emitter to emit a laser pulse. The method includes issuing a command from the single controller to a laser pulse detector to open for detection of a return of the laser pulse. The method includes detecting a return of the laser pulse, determining total time of travel for the laser pulse, and calculating a distance measurement based on the time of travel of the laser pulse.

Phasing light pulses with detectors

A computer system is provided that includes devices configured to acquire input data. The system further includes a remote node (RN) configured to receive a first packet from a control node (CN). The first packet includes a packet header including a master timestamp, first control data and a CRC. The RN is also configured to verify integrity of the first control data based on the received CRC, generate and transmit to the CN a second packet. The second packet includes a packet header which includes a remote timestamp. The system also includes a CN connected with the RN via high-speed serial interfaces. The CN is configured to receive the second packet, determine status of the first packet based on the control data included in the second packet and configured to retransmit the first packet or generate and transmit a third packet based on the determined status of the first packet.

Data transport and time synchronization for ISR systems

A method for applying probability functions in real time includes receiving an input value. An optimized binary sequence is selected from a lookup table based on the received input value. The lookup table includes probability values of at least a part of a noise probability sequence. The input value is masked by a least significant bit of the selected optimized binary sequence to yield an output value. The selected optimized binary sequence is right shifted by one bit and the right shifted bit is carried over to a most significant bit position of the selected optimized binary sequence.

The system further includes a first plurality of co-processors having a hardware logic configured to control the acquisition of the inertial and positional data and configured to analyze the acquired data. The system also includes a second plurality of sensors configured to acquire input data related to the mobile platform connected to a second plurality of co-processors having a hardware logic configured to receive a plurality of streams of input data from the second plurality of sensors and configured to segment the input data into a plurality of discrete data segments. The system also includes a plurality of hardware processing units configured to perform calculations related to the input data using the plurality of data segments.

Parallel caching architecture and methods for block-based data processing

A system for managing internal-computer system communications including a processor, an SPI controller, an interconnector, and an SPI cluster containing multiple SPI interfaces, with the SPI interfaces being connected to one or more devices in the computer system or environment. The SPI cluster includes SPI interfaces that can convert communications to/from a plurality of device's formats to serialized digital formats suitable for ingest and actuation for the SPI controllers. The interconnector may use a differentially, optically, galvanometrically, inductively coupled driven wire and to enable communications between the SPI cluster constituents and the SPI controller. The SPI controller manages communications to the SPI interfaces that act as coordinated intermediates for device control and communications, thus insulating the computer system's processor from the increased workload of managing all internal system communications.

Systems and methods of using an SPI controller

A Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) controller is provided for use within a computer system. The SPI controller includes a clock that generates system clock signals that synchronize a data transfer operation, and a dynamic clock delay element that phase shifts the clock signals with a delay offset and outputs read data that was received during a read operation from an SPI slave device with the clock signals that were phase shifted.

System and method of realignment of read data by SPI controller

A system and method are provided for managing internal-computer system communications in an SPI management system. The system includes a storage device, at least one serial bus interface to interface with a serial bus, and a processing unit that accesses via the at least one serial bus interface, master data propagating from a master device along the serial bus. The processing unit stores, in the storage device, at least one of timing and phase data related to clock pulses associated with the master data, and a phase relationship between the clock pulses and at least one of the master data and return data propagating from a slave device in response to the master data.

System and method of monitoring a serial bus

A motor-based position system includes one or more motors having a rotor. The system further includes a motor controller. The motor controller is communicatively coupled to each of the motors. The system further includes one or more encoders configured to detect an absolute position of each motor and one or more devices configured to collect inertial data. The system further includes a processing device coupled to the motor controller, one or more encoders and one or more devices. The processing device is configured to receive signals indicative of motors' absolute position from the encoders and configured to convert the received encoder signals into a format understood by the motor controller. The processing device is further configured to send the converted signals to the motor controller with low latency and configured to combine the received encoder signals with the inertial data to generate more accurate positional information.
