Drug delivery devices and methods of controlled drug delivery to a patient are provided. The drug delivery device may include one or two microchip elements, each of which has a body portion with one or more drug release apertures in fluid communication with at least one containment reservoir. The drug release apertures are closed off by one or more reservoir caps which can be electrically activated to open the drug release apertures. The drug delivery device also includes (i) a drug formulation disposed in the at least one containment reservoir, and (ii) at least one drug-permeable membrane. In some cases, an outer housing is spaced a distance from an exterior wall of the body portion of the microchip element, the outer housing includes the at least one drug-permeable membrane, and a depot space is defined between the drug-permeable membrane and the exterior wall of the body portion of the microchip element.

A lift dolly assembly includes a lift dolly having a base plate, a handle, and a frame. The dolly includes one or more wheels to permit the frame and the base plate to carry an object or load by tilting the dolly backwards. The assembly also includes a track, a lift mechanism, and a lift plate. These components are configured to work in communication with the dolly to support and allow the elevating and orienting of an object or load. In general operation, an object is located on a base plateand is secured to a lift plate. The object may then be selectively lifted and oriented to a non-vertical orientation to allow the base of the object to extend fully outward beyond the base plate.

A helmet accessory mounting system includes a mounting device configured to couple to an outer surface of a side of a helmet. The mounting device includes a plurality of mounting locations configured to removeably couple to at least one accessory. A plurality of the plurality of mounting locations each includes an electrical node. A power supply is coupled to the mounting device. An electrical supply line electrically couples the power supply to each of the electrical nodes and the electrical supply line is contained at least partially within the mounting device.

The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for receiving blood (or other bodily fluids) from a subject, e.g., from or beneath the skin of a subject. In some cases, the blood (or other bodily fluids) may be deposited on a membrane or other substrate. For example, blood may be absorbed in a substrate, and dried in some cases to produce a dried blood spot. In one aspect, the present invention is generally directed to devices and methods for receiving blood from a subject, e.g., from the skin, using devices including a substance transfer component (which may contain, for example, one or more microneedles), and directing the blood on a substrate, e.g., for absorbing blood. The substrate, in some embodiments, may comprise filter paper or cotton-based paper. After absorption of some blood onto the substrate, the substrate may be removed from the device and shipped or analyzed. In some cases, the device itself may be shipped or analyzed. For example, in some embodiments, a portion of the device may be sealed such that the substrate is contained within an airtight portion of the device, optionally containing desiccant. Other aspects are generally directed at other devices for receiving blood (or other bodily fluids), kits involving such devices, methods of making such devices, methods of using such devices, and the like.

Systems and methods for collection and/or manipulation of blood spots or other bodily fluids

The present invention generally relates to receiving bodily fluid through a device opening. In one aspect, the device includes a flow activator arranged to cause fluid to be released from a subject. A deployment actuator may actuate the flow activator in a deployment direction, which may in turn cause fluid release from a subject. The flow activator may also be moved in a retraction direction by a retraction actuator. In one aspect, the device may include a vacuum source that may help facilitate fluid flow into the opening of the device and/or may help facilitate fluid flow from the opening to a storage chamber. In one aspect, a device actuator may enable fluid communication between the opening and the vacuum source and the flow activator may be actuated after the enablement of fluid communication.

Delivering and/or receiving fluids

A multi-function winch for interchangeably attaching to either the front of an ATV or the back of the ATV. The multi-function winch includes a front mounting assembly, a back mounting assembly, a column assembly, an elbow assembly, and a winch assembly. The front mounting assembly attaches to the front cargo rack of the ATV. The back mounting assembly attaches to the back cargo rack of the ATV and to the trailer hitch of the ATV. The column assembly is interchangeably attached to either the front mounting assembly or to the back mounting assembly. The elbow assembly is interchangeably attached to the front mounting assembly. The winch assembly is interchangeably attached to either the rear mounting assembly, the column assembly, or the elbow assembly.
