Systems and methods for modeling engine health are provided. One example aspect of the present disclosure is directed to a method for modeling engine health. The method includes receiving, by one or more processors, engine acceptance test procedure (ATP) data. The method includes receiving, by the one or more processors, flight test data. The method includes generating, by the one or more processors, one or more coefficients for a power assistance check (PAC) based on the engine ATP data and the received flight test data using a machine learning technique. The method includes transmitting, by the one or more processors, the one or more coefficients for the PAC to a vehicle, wherein the vehicle uses the one or more coefficients in the PAC to predict engine health.

A system configured to thermally regulate exhaust portions of a power plant system (e.g. steam turbine) is disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes: a condenser adapted to connect to and thermally regulate exhaust portions of a steam turbine; and a cooling system operably connected to the condenser and adapted to supply a cooling fluid to the condenser, the cooling system including a solar absorption chiller adapted to adjust a temperature of the cooling fluid.

Systems and methods for model based steam flow control to and/or through a steam turbine component are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes: at least one computing device configured to control a steam flow in a power generation system by performing actions comprising: generating a flow model for the steam flow based at least in part on operational data about the steam flow in the power generation system; and adjusting a characteristic of the steam flow based upon the flow model.

The gas turbine shut down controller varies the flow of fuel to the combustor based upon a rotational speed of the rotor as determined by a dynamic target trajectory schedule.

Systems and methods for optimized gas turbine shutdown

A solution for measuring steam quality in a steam turbine is disclosed. A steam quality measurement (SQM) device and an ejector are coupled to a steam turbine through an appropriate piping configuration to draw steam emitted from the turbine through the SQM device for measurement of the steam quality, for example, continuously, during operation of the turbine.
