The secure data interface system further includes a two-way communications interface configured to communicate the measurement to an external system, wherein the monitoring and protection system is configured to monitor operations of a machinery.

The processor is also configured to display, in a second display state, a first asset image of the asset images within the display upon a determination that the system asset represented by first asset image is in an alarm state, and display, in a third display state, the remaining asset images within the display upon a determination that the system assets represented by the remaining asset images are not in an alarm state.

The method also includes receiving measurement data based on measurement information from the at least one sensor and displaying, with a display device, a first plot representing a reference data set of the one or more reference data sets where the first plot has a plot type associated with the reference data set. The method also includes displaying, with the display device, a second plot representing the measurement data where the second plot is plotted using the first plot based at least in part with the association of the plot type with the reference data set. Furthermore, the method includes displaying, with the display device, an explanation of an appearance of the second plot.

Methods and systems for integrated plot training

A device for monitoring operation of a plurality of system assets includes a storage device configured to store a model of a plurality of system assets, wherein the model includes a plurality of asset images associated with the system assets, and a plurality of component connections representative of a plurality of conduits coupled to the system assets. The device also includes a processor coupled to the storage device. The processor is configured to display the plurality of asset images and to display the plurality of component connections. The processor is also configured to select an asset image, display a status of a system asset associated with the selected asset image, and automatically display a representation of at least one of a process flow entering the system asset and a process flow exiting the system asset when the asset image is selected.

In one aspect, a method for displaying data from at least one sensor of a machine may include storing, in a memory coupled to a computing device, a data set based on measurement information from the sensor, separating the data set into a plurality of data samples based on at least one characteristic of the measurement information, and selecting a first visual format and a second visual format from a range of visual formats. The first visual format are different from the second visual format. The method may then include displaying, with a display device, a first visual representation of a first data sample of the plurality of data samples using the first visual format via a plot and displaying a second visual representation of a second data sample of the plurality of data samples using the second visual format via the same plot.

The configuration is assembled into an editor configured to accept a layout and connection of the configuration of industrial plant components and to accept a configuration and setting of the properties of the industrial plant components. The method also includes generating a script or scripts for industrial plant components in the configuration of industrial plant in accordance with the rules, wherein the generated scripts include mathematical relationships within or among the industrial plant components, or both. The mathematical relationships are then solved. Results are either displayed or used to control an industrial plant.

Configurable system and method for power and process plant modeling

A computer-implemented method for modeling and/or improving operational performance of an energy system includes providing a graphical user interface configured to allow a user to manipulate equipment icons into an energy system model representation, using modular, piece-wise linear equipment models to simulate non-linear behavior of equipment represented by the manipulated equipment icons to solve an energy system model represented by the manipulation, and displaying a solution of the energy system model.
