Dual marking gauge

A bevel setting tool having a rectangular plate, both sides of which are marked with reference indicia and a moveable fence that slides longitudinally on a stud that passes from the fence through a slot centrally located in the plate and into a locking knob. The fence and knob may be disassembled so that the fence can be positioned on either side of the plate.

Bevel setter

An out-feed roller support stand having a sturdy, stable base that folds for compact storage. A support mast that telescopes into and is adjustable within the base supports a work support head that includes an adjustable cross bar on which a row of pivoting caster wheels are mounted. An alternative embodiment includes a ramp for guiding sagging ends of work-pieces up onto the caster wheels. Both the height and angle between the adjustable cross bar and floor are adjustable after the position of the support mast has been adjusted in order to position the support head in roughly the correct location.

Roller stand

A honing guide and bevel setting jig for removable attachment to the honing guide to properly position the angle and projection of a tool to be sharpened in the jig to enable the tool to be honed at the proper angle and position. An adjustable roller that contacts an abrasive surface during use of the guide facilitates formation of micro bevels. A tool securing bar having a generally triangular shape in the bar's middle section forces the arris-defining back of the tool being honed against a reference surface in the guide by tightening thumb nuts around threaded studs projecting from the bar. Jigs for use with both square and skew edge chisel and blades are described. A concave surface clamp bar honing guide provides enhanced gripping of the tool being honed, and wedges and adjustable structures expand the range of bevel angles that can be honed.

Honing guide assembly

A variable angle flexible band clamping corner for clamping work piece angles in desired locations to permit nailing, screwing, gluing, or otherwise joining the work pieces. The clamping corner consists of two pivotable contact pads, where the face of each contact pad extends on both sides of the face of the other contact pad. The contact pads can be either constant width fingers that bypass each other when pivoting, or a wide pad with thinner fingers extending from the pad, where the fingers interleave with each other. A corner formed by two work pieces positioned between the two contact pads remains aligned by the force of the face of each contact pad. The clamping corner includes a body that receives force and transmits the force to the contact pads which hold the work piece corner in place.
