A remote seal assembly for a process transmitter includes a seal body containing a cavity sealed by a diaphragm. The seal body configured to be mounted to a process element containing a process fluid such that a first side of the diaphragm is exposed to the process fluid. A capillary contains a fill fluid that is in fluid communication with the cavity and a second side of the diaphragm. A coupling has a capillary recess and two cavities separated by a second diaphragm. The capillary extends through the capillary recess and connects to the coupling such that the fill fluid in the capillary is in fluid communication with one of the two cavities and the second diaphragm. A thermally conductive element preferably extends continuously along the capillary from the seal body toward the coupling and into the capillary recess without contacting the coupling.

Fill fluid thermal management

A remote seal system includes a remote diaphragm having a first side configured to be exposed to a process fluid. A conduit is coupled to the remote diaphragm and includes a fill fluid in fluidic communication with a second side of the remote diaphragm. A temperature sensor is thermally coupled to the conduit and configured to sense a temperature of the fill fluid. In one alternative example, a remote sensing assembly includes a flexible elongate conduit having a first end coupled to a remote diaphragm in fluidic communication with a process fluid and a second end extending a length from the first end to a process fluid pressure transmitter. A substantially incompressible fill fluid is disposed within the flexible elongate conduit. The process fluid pressure transmitter is configured to generate an output value indicative of pressure in the process fluid based on a corresponding pressure in the fill fluid. A temperature detector is coupled to the flexible elongate conduit and is configured to provide a signal indicative of an average temperature of the fill fluid along the flexible elongate conduit. A compensation system calculates a thermal expansion value based on the average temperature and adjusts the pressure signal based on the thermal expansion value.

Remote seal system with improved temperature compensation

A transmitter for measuring a process pressure includes a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor providing an input temperature signal. A first remote pressure sensitive diaphragm couples to the transmitter by a first capillary tube filled with a fill fluid having a density as a function of fill fluid temperature. An input circuit is operably connected to at least the pressure sensor and provides an intermediate pressure signal at least roughly representative of the process pressure. A correcting circuit is coupled to the temperature sensor and to the input circuit. The correcting circuit processes the intermediate pressure signal by compensating for the fill fluid density as a function of the temperature and provides a compensated output more closely representative of the process pressure. The correction circuit further performs an initial height determination based upon a pressure measurement made while no pressure is applied to the first diaphragm.

Remote seal diaphragm system

The present invention is a self-locking folding crane apparatus that can be installed onto any pivot shaft and held in place by small positioning devices such as clamps, slip-rings, bolts, shaft collars, pins, and other mechanical means; a substantial base is not needed to support the hoist as long as the pivot shaft is able to do so. The resulting hoist can be recoverably installed and optionally left on a vehicle or cart while it is in either an operative or stowed state. Unlike all other portable cranes that were found in prior art either singly or in combination, the present invention requires no assembly or disassembly between uses.

Foldable lifting apparatus

This invention teaches a method and apparatus that combines GPS, map overlays, a means to draw containment perimeters directly over map overlays, and a means to transmit signals to any plurality of electronic stimulus control collars to contain humans or animals within each containment perimeter. A primary aspiration of this invention is to provide hunters with a means to effortlessly operate functions of an animal stimulus collar while hunting. Novel features include a means to specify a containment perimeter that travels with the hunter by drawing the same on a on a touch sensitive graphic user interface that displays a map of the local area. This invention is easy to use and readily accepts new perimeters, perimeter alterations, or a multiple of perimeters at will.
