A system for controlling water distribution from a water distribution vehicle includes spray heads for spraying water from the vehicle and an actuator system for turning the spray heads on and off. A computer processor is programmed to control the actuator system in response to a sensor input. The system can include means for measuring the ground speed of the vehicle, such as a GPS, and the sensor input signal can be associated with the ground speed of the vehicle. Using a pulse width modulated signal, the processor can adjust water flow from the spray heads based on the vehicle ground speed. The processor also can be programmed to prevent water flow from one or more spray heads when the vehicle speed is below a minimum speed or as the vehicle speed is reduced.

Digital spray control system

A system to interrupt the line or supply side power or charged system of any building, appliance, process, and the like, so as to render the system without charge or current output outside of the junction box/enclosure or equipment load supply connection so that emergency first responders or solar/any technician, authorized personnel in any field, system maintenance crew may avoid electrocution, chemical or machine/appliance hazard in the presence of fire, explosion, structural failure/compromise, moisture, flammables, caustics, hazmat, water stream, mist, fogging, physical damage or servicing of the system. The system can be engaged for any anticipated disaster such as fire, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, and the like.

PV stop potential voltage and hazard stop system

A system to provide a multi-function connection capability to contain and provide for stacking, mounting self-registering Multi-Function Junction (MF/J) boxes that contain a multiplicity of control electronics and can be stacked, removed, replaced, and/or upgraded with a minimal of steps or connection processes in order to simplify methods and conserve on or add value, capabilities to materials and electrical/mechanical equipment. The system can be engaged or utilized by any EMS/First Responder/Service Technician, authorized personnel in any field, Contractor, manufacturer, BOS integrator and any assembler of systems that require a multiplicity of interfacing devices to be in proximity, connection or contact to each other.

PV stax&#x2014;multi-function junction MF/J system

An apparatus for efficiently generating ozone in dry air or in oxygen at about 1 bar pressure. The apparatus generates a uniform cold plasma having no arcs or localized discharges that fills the entire generator volume. Electrical pulses having a peak voltage of approximately 20 kV, pulse width of approximately 20-ns FWHM, and repetition rate of approximately 10 kHz drive the generator. Short pulses apply voltage to the generator on a short time scale compared to the time required to form an arc-like discharge, and at an electric field strength many times over DC breakdown, which is not achievable with long electrical pulse widths. The generator is optimized for cool, UV-free operation. Dimensions of the generator are adjusted to optimize production of ozone by tailoring the distribution function of the electrons in the cold plasma. Overall efficiency of the generator approaches 50% of the theoretical quantum efficiency of generating ozone.

Apparatus for highly efficient cold-plasma ozone production

A method of pruning a reference library of signatures and corresponding known structure parameter vectors, each signature composed of a reference signal vector, including, for a given reference signal vector, interpolating a parameter vector and deleting the given reference signal vector and the corresponding parameter vector for a sufficiently small interpolation error. Also a method of accessing an indexed reference library of signatures and corresponding known structure parameter vectors, each signature comprising a reference signal vector, including acquiring an unknown signal, calculating an index vector for the unknown signal; determining error between the index vector for the unknown signal and a calculated reference signal index vector of the library; and thereby identifying as a match candidate for the unknown signal a reference signal vector.

Structure identification using scattering signatures

An artificial fishing lure of resilient, flexible material created in an initially curved configuration, which lure, when attached to a line and pulled through the water, essentially duplicates the swimming motion of an eel, snake, or lizard. This novel lure has a body portion and a flexible, elongate, relatively thin dorsal fin integral with the body portion and extending longitudinally for substantially the entire length of the body portion. One embodiment of my novel lure has a body portion of alternating large and relatively small sections, with each of the relatively small sections having major and minor dimensions, and with the major dimension of each of the relatively small sections being perpendicular to the plane of the relatively thin fin. The minor dimension of each of the relatively small sections is sufficiently small as to enable such small sections to serve as hinging points of the body portion such that the lure can move from an initially curved configuration into an essentially straight configuration. Significantly, the relatively thin fin is essentially flat when the lure is in a curved configuration, but undertakes a highly desirable rippled configuration when the lure has been put into use and assumes a relatively straight configuration.

Lens scatterometer system employing source light beam scanning means

An optical scatterometer system includes a screen positioned to receive and display a pattern representative of light specularly reflected and scattered from an illuminated sample material and a camera positioned to record the pattern displayed on the screen. The screen may present a curved surface to increase its light gathering capabilities and may be constructed of an electron trapping material, a photochromic material or a pyrochromic material. The screen may contain one or more apertures for passing one or more incident light beams generated by a light source and/or light specularly reflected and scattered from the sample material. The screen may be positioned between the sample material and the light source, or the sample material may be positioned between the screen and the light source.

Two-dimensional optical scatterometer apparatus and process

The disclosure relates to maskless deposition and etching and more particularly to maskless deposition and etching of the surface of objects using single and multiple ion sources.

Method and apparatus for ion deposition and etching

The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus using ion etching and ion assisted deposition to reform a surface of an object, such as a large lens, from its existing topography to a predetermined topography. The method comprises comparing the existing topography of the surface of the object to the predetermined topography. In one embodiment, the comparison can be used to distinguish objects having surfaces which are readily or economically reformable to the predetermined topography from those which are not suitable for such reforming. The method novelly utilizes an algorithm comprising image restoration. The ion etching structure of the apparatus comprises an ion source grid which can be used to provide an ion beam of a preselected spatial distribution. The grid is constructed of a nonconducting, vacuum compatible material, such as a ceramic sheet coated with a conductive layer on each side. Apertures are drilled through the grid in a selected pattern. The ion beam produced from a plasma source when a suitable voltage is applied across the coatings has a spatial distribution in accordance with the aperture pattern. In one embodiment the coatings comprise discrete corresponding areas on each surface and different voltages are appliable to each area to further control beam spatial distribution. Ion assisted deposition may be simultaneously performed under the algorithm to add material to the surface in accordance with the desired predetermined topography.
