The present disclosure relates to a composite article that may include a plastic component, and a silicone component bonded the plastic component. The plastic component and the silicone component may be bonded at an intersecting region between a first surface of the plastic component and a first surface of the silicone component. The intersecting region may include at least one of an acetone content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, an MEK content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm, or a trimethylsilanol content of not greater than about 0.2 ppm.

Composite article and method of forming a composite article

A cell culture bag is provided, comprising a framed porous inner fluoropolymer bag that allows for growing and harvesting cells and an outer fluoropolymer bag that allows removal and replenishing feed media without loss of cells. In one embodiment, a bag comprising an outer bag and an inner bag is presented. The outer bag comprises a gas permeable porous film having a first port and a second port attached thereto and the inner bag comprises a gas permeable porous film having a third port attached thereto that passes through the outer bag to the inner bag. The inner bag has larger pore size than the outer bag to allow movement of media between the outer bag and the inner bag.

An assembly includes an adjustable dip tube that can selectively withdraw an isolated component at various heights within a vessel. The adjustable nature of the dip tube can improve the cell recovery rate as compared to conventional cell recovery assemblies. Additionally, the assembly can take advantage of the adjustable nature of the dip tube while maintaining an aseptic interior cavity of the assembly.

The sealing assembly includes a cap having a top surface and a bottom surface, an adhesive layer adjacent the bottom surface of the cap, and a septum adjacent to the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer includes a self-bonding silicone composition and the septum includes at least one fluoropolymer layer. The disclosure is further directed to methods for making the aforementioned sealing assembly.
