Systems and methods are provided for determining navigation routing of a vehicle based on predicted total cost of possible routes, including: receiving information identifying a destination for a vehicle; determining two or more possible routes from a origination to the destination; determining a plurality of cost factors for a plurality of the determined possible routes, wherein the cost factors comprise direct cost information for the plurality of determined possible routes and indirect cost information for the plurality of determined possible routes; calculating a total cost for each of the plurality of determined possible routes using the cost factors; and presenting to the user a lowest-total-cost route from among the plurality of determined possible routes.

Cost-based vehicle routing

Systems and methods are provided to implementing a set of instructions related to a vehicle configuration template at a vehicle. Vehicle configuration templates may define instructions for automated vehicle driving parameters within a particular road region. The set of instructions within the first road region may correspond with a vehicle transition sequence based on the vehicle configuration template, where the vehicle transition sequence adjusts at least one of a vehicle position and dynamics to achieve a desired traffic flow.

Autonomous vehicle positioning system

Systems and methods are provided to determine traffic configuration parameters, such as location and speed, that are correlated with optimal traffic flow specific to particular road regions. In a specific embodiment, the disclosure is directed to a vehicle positioning system which utilizes a multi-client server application model configured to perform predictive analysis based upon data collected from a plurality of data streams, infrastructure elements, and vehicles. In a particular implementation, roadways may be partitioned into road regions which may be associated with vehicle configuration templates. Vehicle configuration templates may define instructions for automated vehicle driving parameters within a particular road region. In a specific embodiment, the vehicle positioning system may invoke transition sequences based upon real-time traffic data to modify a given traffic configuration.

Systems and methods are provided for intelligent road markers. An intelligent road marker comprises a transceiver; a hardware processor; and a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium encoded with instructions executable by the hardware processor to perform a method comprising: receiving a message via the transceiver, the message describing a condition related to a road where the intelligent road marker is deployed; determining a direction in which the message is to be propagated; selecting another one of a plurality of the intelligent road markers according to the determined direction, and a stored deployment pattern of the intelligent road markers; and causing the transceiver to transmit the message to the selected intelligent road marker.

Computing devices are disclosed. For example, a computing device includes one or more processors and one or more databases. The computing device includes one or more non-transitory memory modules storing machine-readable instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to: receive a plurality of event flags, wherein each event flag of the plurality of event flags is associated with a respective broadcasted audio signal of a plurality of broadcasted audio signals; compare the plurality of event flags to a user profile stored within the one or more databases, wherein the user profile comprises preference characteristics associated with a user; determine whether one or more event flags matches a set of preference characteristics of the user profile; and transmit a notification signal to a vehicle in response to the one or more event flags matching the set of preference characteristics of the user profile.

Systems and methods for automatically tuning a radio system to a preferred channel

Systems and methods for providing a virtual vehicle fleet are provided. One embodiment of a method includes creating a virtual vehicle, where the virtual vehicle provides a telematics service and replicating the virtual vehicle to create the virtual vehicle fleet, where the virtual vehicle fleet includes a plurality of virtual vehicles. Some embodiments include simulating use of the telematics service by at least a portion of the virtual vehicle fleet, determining a response characteristic of the simulated telematics service used by the virtual vehicle fleet, and providing data related to the response characteristic for output.
