An integrated multiple voltage battery system includes a first pair of output terminals, a second pair of output terminals, a plurality of first battery cells connected in series with each other and operatively connected to the first pair of output terminals, at least one second battery cell operatively connected to the second pair of outlet terminals, and a plurality of switches, the plurality of switches arranged such that each first battery cell in the plurality of first battery cells can be selectively placed in parallel with the at least one second battery cell while electrically isolating the other of the plurality of first battery cells from the at least one second battery cell, wherein each of the plurality of first battery cells has a nominal open cell voltage which is about the same as a nominal open cell voltage of the at least one second battery cell.

A building commissioning system includes a controller and an electronic database for storing a building layout that includes desired locations for devices to be mounted in a building. The system includes a portable wireless unit with a display for use by an installer. The display on the portable wireless unit shows a graphical representation of the building layout for an area selected by an installer to illustrate desired locations for devices, such as lighting fixtures and wall switches, to be installed in the building. Upon installing a device at the desired location, an installer obtains a unique identifier for the installed device that is matched with the corresponding installed location. The unique identifier and the installed location are sent to the controller for storage in the electronic database. The stored device and location information enable a user to control or adjust device operations.

A system of transmitting a plurality of movement parameters of a vehicle. The system includes a supply terminal, a plurality of sensing elements, a modulation circuit, and a return terminal. The supply terminal is coupled to a power source to receive power. The sensing elements receive power from the supply terminal. Each of the sensing elements senses a movement characteristic of the vehicle, and generates movement signals indicative of the sensed movement characteristic. The modulation circuit is coupled to the sensing elements to modulate the movement signals based on the plurality of sensing elements. The return terminal is coupled to the modulation circuit to output the modulated movement signals.

A method of monitoring the operation of a partition movement system having a partition. In an embodiment, the method includes monitoring a parameter having a relation to movement of the partition, generating a first value based on the monitored parameter, and generating a difference value between the first value and a threshold value. A method and system for monitoring a movable partition. In one embodiment, the system includes a sensor linked to a movable partition, a drive system, and a controller. The drive system is configured to move the movable partition. The sensor, which in one embodiment includes a drum connected to the partition by a cable, is independent of the drive system. The sensor transmits a signal indicative of the rotational motion of the drum to the controller, which receives the transmitted signal and calculates at least one of a speed, acceleration, position, and direction of movement of the movable partition.
