A method of running tubulars includes attaching a load collar to a first tubular; landing the load collar on a load support member; connecting a second tubular to the first tubular; removing the load collar from the first tubular; and lowering the first tubular and the second tubular. In one embodiment, at least one of the first tubular and the second tubular is a screen.

A mud motor for use in a wellbore includes: a stator; a rotor, the stator and rotor operable to rotate the rotor in response to fluid pumped between the rotor and the stator; and a lock. The lock is operable to: rotationally couple the rotor to the stator in a locked position, receive an instruction signal from the surface, release the rotor in an unlocked position, and actuate from the locked position to the unlocked position in response to receiving the instruction signal.

Embodiments of the invention generally relate to a tubular handling tool. The tool may include a base and a ring or sleeve member. The tool may further include an actuation member configured to move or rotate the ring or sleeve member relative to the base. The clamp or dog member is configured to move between a radially retracted position and a radially extended position as the ring or sleeve member moves or rotates relative to the base.

A method and apparatus for retrieving an assembly having a whipstock and an anchor from a wellbore. A method of retrieving an assembly having a whipstock coupled to an anchor from a wellbore may comprise the steps of releasing the whipstock from the anchor in the wellbore, re-engaging the whipstock to the anchor, and retrieving the whipstock with the anchor from the wellbore. An apparatus for use in a wellbore may comprise a whipstock, a latch coupled to the whipstock, and an anchor operable to be selectively retrieved from the wellbore using the latch.

Method and apparatus for retrieving an assembly from a wellbore

The present invention generally relates to an apparatus and method for operating a tool in a wellbore. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a hydraulically operated tool and a wellbore tubular both in communication with a pressure sensing line. The hydraulically operated tool is responsive to a combination of a fluid pressure in the pressure sensing line and a manipulation of the wellbore tubular, such response causing the tool to operate within the wellbore. In another aspect, the invention provides a method for anchoring a well tool in a wellbore. The method includes the steps of lowering the well tool into the wellbore on a tubular string, flowing fluid through the tubular string to begin anchoring the well tool, and manipulating the tubular string to complete the anchoring of the well tool.
