The present invention relates to a remote tomography system. A filament system generates at least one plurality of plasma filaments. An electromagnetic radiation (EMR) system directs EMR towards the at least one plurality of plasma filaments such that the EMR reflects off of the at least one plurality of plasma filaments towards at least one target region. The EMR system is configured to receive EMR reflected from the at least one plurality of plasma filaments such that EMR reflecting from the at least one target region can be directed towards the EMR system.

Remote monostatic tomography system and related methods

A method using a laser to propagate a laser beam through an optically-transparent medium, wherein the laser has a power level beyond a critical value P, and wherein the laser beam interacts with the optically transparent medium to generate a laser-induced plasma filament (LIPF); and adjusting the power level to qualitatively detect chemical components within the optically-transparent medium.

Method and apparatus for detection of contaminants in air by laser-induced filamentation

A method of predicting impending coastal seismic activity by using ocean-based acoustic sensors. Acoustic sensors are used to sense and record low frequency acoustic events, including primary and tertiary waves. Characteristics that may be sensed and recorded include frequency, amplitude, and duration of the acoustic events. More specifically, the occurrence of T-waves over a selected time period are sensed and recorded. A decrease in the rate of the occurrence of T-waves during a portion of the selected time period is an indication of impending seismic activity.
