In an audio device that includes a plurality of input controls, mixing circuitry, a left speaker, and a right speaker, a desired balance, between a first audio signal and a second audio signal, may be determined according to the plurality of input controls. A desired volume, of the first audio signal and the second audio signal, may be determined according to the plurality of input controls. A virtualization, of one or both of the first audio signal and the second audio signal, may be determined according to a head related transfer function. A stereo signal may be generated by combining the first audio signal and the second audio signal according to the desired balance, the desired volume, and the virtualization. A left channel of the stereo signal may be outputted to the left speaker and a right channel of the stereo signal may be outputted to the right speaker.

Independent game and chat volume control

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. An audio system may include a circuit for controlling one or both of generation and output of combined audio, with the circuit being configured to determine, based on user input, a mix setting applicable in the audio system to mixing of a first audio and a second audio when generating the combined audio, wherein the combined audio comprises at least a portion of each of the first audio and the second audio; determine a corresponding volume setting applicable at an audio output element of the audio system during outputting of the combined audio; determine a corresponding delay applicable to one or both of the mix setting and the volume setting; and apply one or both of the mix setting and the volume setting based on at least the delay.

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. User input may be received in an audio setup configured for combined-audio, with the user input including one or both of a selection of a desired volume of a first type audio component of the combined-audio signal, and a selection of a desired volume of a second type audio component of the combined-audio signal. Based on the user input, a corresponding mix setting may be determined, with the mix setting including one or more control parameters for adaptively controlling mixing of the first type audio component and the second type audio component to generate the combined-audio signal. The mix setting may be determined based on a data set characterizing an audio device where at least portion of the mixing is performed. The data set may be pre-programmed and/or determined based on testing of the audio device.

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. An example audio system may include a circuit for controlling one or both of generation and output of combined audio, with the circuit being configured to determine, based on user input, a mix setting applicable in the audio system to mixing of a first audio and a second audio when generating the combined audio, with the combined audio including at least a portion of each of the first audio and the second audio; determine a corresponding volume setting applicable at an audio output element of the audio system during outputting of the combined audio; and determine a corresponding delay applicable to one or both of the mix setting and the volume setting.

A rear sight is provided for use on a firearm. The rear sight includes a rear sight blade connected to a mounting base. The mounting base is configured to be connected to a top surface of the firearm. The blade includes a sighting notch positioned to be aligned with a post on a front sight. The width of the sighting notch is variable. The rear sight is configured to be provided with a second sighting notch integrated within the rear sight and which is configured to move between a first position and a second position.

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. A rear sight is provided for use on a firearm. The rear sight includes a changeable and removable rear sight notch insert. The rear sight further includes a rear sight blade having a cavity configured to receive the changeable, removable rear sight notch insert. The changeable, removable rear sight notch insert includes one or more tabs to facilitate insertion or removal of the rear sight notch insert into or out of the cavity. Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. An audio system that includes at least one audio output element may be configured for handling and outputting, via the at least one audio output element, combined-game-and-chat audio. The handling may include determining, based on user input, a mix setting for mixing together of a chat audio component and a game audio component to generate combined-game-and-chat audio signals; determining a corresponding volume setting applicable at an audio output element of the audio system; and determining based on a mixing related parameter, a delay for applying the volume setting in the audio output element. The mix setting may be determined based on a data set characterizing the audio system. Application of one or both of the mix setting and the volume setting may be controlled, such as based a plurality of ramp up or down steps, for gradual or stepped changes.

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. For example, an audio component (e.g., implemented in an element of an audio setup) may control generation and/or outputting of a combined-game-and-chat audio signals. The audio component may receive user input comprising one or both of: a setting for a desired volume of a chat audio component of the combined-game-and-chat audio signal, and a setting for a desired volume of a game audio component of the combined-game-and-chat audio signal. The audio component may determine, based on the user input, a corresponding mix setting for mixing together of the chat audio component and the game audio component in an audio source to generate the combined-game-and-chat audio signal and a corresponding volume setting applicable at an audio output element; provide the mix setting to the audio source; and provide the volume setting to the audio output element.

An illuminated sighting system for providing an illumination at a sight of a firearm includes a power source housed within a compartment of the firearm. The sighting system further includes a light source. The system additionally includes a switch which completes a power circuit that provides power from the power source to the light source when activated, and a conduit configured to transmit light from the light source to the sight of the firearm. The sighting system includes a feature to deactivate the light source when the firearm is holstered or in another stored condition.
