An electrochemical cell includes a mist elimination system that prevents mist from escaping from the cell chamber and conserves moisture within the cell. An exemplary mist elimination system includes a spill prevention device that reduces or prevents an electrolyte from escaping from the cell chamber in the event of an upset, wherein the electrochemical cell is tipped over. A mist elimination system includes a recombination portion that reacts with hydrogen to produce water, that may be reintroduced into the cell chamber. A mist elimination system includes a neutralizer portion that reacts with an electrolyte to bring the pH closer to neutral, as acid/base reaction. A mist elimination system includes a filter that captures mist that may be reintroduced into the cell chamber. A mist elimination system includes a hydrophobic filter on the outer surface to prevent water and other liquids from entering into the mist elimination system.

Mist elimination system for electrochemical cells

An electrochemical cell utilizes an air flow device that draws air through the cell from a scrubber that may be removed while the system is operating. The negative pressure generated by the air flow device allows ambient air to enter the cell housing when the scrubber is removed, thereby enabling continued operation without the scrubber. A moisture management system passes outflow air from the cell through a humidity exchange module that transfers moisture to the air inflow, thereby increasing the humidity of the air inflow. A recirculation feature comprising a valve allow a controller to recirculate at least a portion of the outflow air back into the inflow air. The system may comprise an inflow bypass conduit and valve that allows the humidified inflow air to pass into the cell inlet without passing through the scrubber. The scrubber may contain reversible or irreversible scrubber media.

Moisture and carbon dioxide management system in electrochemical cells

A grappling assembly for use with an entangling projectile includes at least one hook including an apex portion and a sharpened prong extending distally from the apex portion. A protective cover is positioned adjacent the apex portion of the at least one hook, the protective cover including at least one substantially planar surface. The sharpened prong of the at least one hook extends distally from the protective cover and thereby remaining exposed while the protective cover is positioned adjacent the apex portion of the at least one hook. The at least one hook and the protective cover are formed as an integral unit, or as a continuous, solid piece.

Protective coverings and related methods for entangling projectiles

A grappling assembly is provided for use with an entangling projectile. The grappling assembly includes at least one hook including an apex portion and a sharpened prong extending distally from the apex portion. A protective cover is carried adjacent the apex portion of the at least one hook. The protective cover includes at least one substantially planar surface. The protective cover is positioned relative to the at least one hook such that the sharpened prong of the at least one hook extends distally from the protective cover and thereby remains exposed while the protective cover is carried adjacent the apex portion of the at least one hook.

An expandable water filtering pitcher having a pitcher with a top portion, a base portion and an inner wall surface defining an internal volume of the pitcher, a spout at the top portion at a pitcher opening, a handle attached to an exterior of the pitcher, a filter adapter mounted within the pitcher top portion. The filter adapter is within a reservoir comprising an opening therethrough from the top portion to the base portion of the pitcher and a reservoir sleeve movably coupled to the reservoir and top portion, at least one of the reservoir and the reservoir sleeve moveable in relation to the other between a retracted position defining a first reservoir volume within the reservoir and reservoir sleeve, and an expanded position defining a second reservoir volume within the reservoir and reservoir sleeve at least 40% larger than the first reservoir volume.

Expandable water filter reservoir

An air freshener that includes a base and a reservoir is disclosed. The base includes a fan housed therein and one or more base openings extending through a sidewall of the base. The one or more base openings comprise an inlet opening and an outlet opening. The base also includes a coupling receiver positioned on an upper surface of the base. The reservoir includes a reservoir chamber configured to hold a scented liquid therein and an outlet. A coupling is typically coupled to the reservoir adjacent to the outlet and configured to removably couple to the coupling receiver. A filter is coupled to the coupling and in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The filter is positioned above the fan when the coupling is removably coupled to the coupling and allows the scented liquid to evaporate therefrom for dispersal through the base openings when the fan is activated.

An expandable water filtering pitcher having a pitcher with a top portion, a base portion and an inner wall surface defining an internal volume of the pitcher, a spout at the top portion at a pitcher opening, a handle attached to an exterior of the pitcher, a filter adapter mounted within the pitcher top portion. The filter adapter is within a reservoir comprising an opening therethrough from the top portion to the base portion of the pitcher and a reservoir sleeve movably coupled to the reservoir and top portion, at least one of the reservoir and the reservoir sleeve moveable in relation to the other between a refracted position defining a first reservoir volume within the reservoir and reservoir sleeve, and an expanded position defining a second reservoir volume within the reservoir and reservoir sleeve at least 40% larger than the first reservoir volume.

An electronic weapon with an installed deployment unit, from which wire-tethered electrodes are launched, provides a stimulus current through a target to inhibit locomotion by the target. A canister of compressed gas propels the electrodes. The canister is located in the deployment unit in a manner that facilitates the design and manufacture of a relatively narrow deployment unit.

An electronic weapon with an installed deployment unit, from which at least one wire-tethered electrode is launched, provides a stimulus current through a target to inhibit locomotion by the target. A manifold, according to various aspects of the present invention, directs a pressurized gas to two or more electrodes to launch the electrodes from the cartridge and toward a target. A matching portion of the manifold increases a correspondence between an exit velocity and/or a time of exit of the two or more electrodes. An increased correspondence between an exit velocity and/or a time of exit increases an accuracy of delivery of the electrodes to a target.
