A method and a computer system for performing the method of determining an initial value or lifetime value for a domain name is provided. The method for determining an initial value includes obtaining, over a communication network, a domain name from requestor; obtaining, over the communication network, one or more inputs from one or more domain name data sources; applying the one or more inputs and the domain name to an initial lifetime worth computer model, wherein the one or more inputs comprise data related to comparable historical domain names, data from a linguistic model analysis, data from a linguistic frequency list, and data related to a second-level domain to top-level domain relationship analysis; determining, by a hardware processor, an initial lifetime worth for the domain name based on the initial lifetime worth computer model; and providing the initial lifetime worth for the domain name to the requestor.

System and method for domain name valuation

A network-based services platform receives a template that at least partially indicates an application to be performed, a service type, and at least one service parameter associated with the service type. The platform identifies one or more available network-accessible services corresponding to the service type, and assigns the identified network-accessible service to be used by the application. Each identified network-accessible service includes at least one service parameter.

Systems and methods for analyzing domain name system ('DNS') lookup data perform operations that may include: calculating traffic scores for a network address based on a set of DNS lookup data associated with the network address, where the set of DNS lookup data includes a plurality of query records having one or more queried network addresses; calculating a first variance and a second variance for the network address based on the traffic scores for the network address; and determining a rank of the network address based on the first and second variances.
