A catheter system includes an elongated tube structure configured for insertion into a luminal space, such as the vasculature, of a body. The catheter is conductive and configured to conduct electrical signals. The catheter includes one or more power and data coupling devices configured to send and receive power and/or data signals, such as from an underlying guidewire disposed within a lumen of the catheter. One or more sensors are coupled to a distal section of the catheter and are electrically connected to the one or more power and data coupling devices.

A guidewire system includes an elongated wire configured for insertion into a luminal space, such as the vasculature, of a body. The wire is conductive and configured to conduct electrical signals. One or more sensors are coupled to a distal section of the wire and configured to send and receive the electrical signals via the wire. The wire through which the one or more sensors are coupled is the only wire through which the one or more sensors send and receive the electrical signals.

A power and data coupling device for medical sensors comprises a first conductive surface integrated into a medical device and configured to couple via an electric field with a second conductive surface. The second conductive surface is translatable with respect to the first conductive surface. The first conductive surface also radiates a time-varying electric field that is configured to convey power to the second conductive surface. A medical device system for concurrent power and data transfer comprises an elongated conductive member. At least a portion of the elongated conductive member is configured for insertion within an intraluminal space. One or more sensors that are in electrical connection with the elongated conductive member. The medical device system uniquely allocates each of the plurality of unique contiguous segments within a signal space to one of (i) one or more power channels or (ii) one or more signal channels. The medical device system then sends the electrical signals, via the elongated conductive member, to one or more sensors that are in electrical connection with the elongated conductive member. The medical device harvests energy from the electrical signals. The medical device system isolates transmitted data signals within at least one of the one or more signal channels the data signals generated by the one or more sensors.

A reliable, private and sanitary device is provided for capturing human waste in the wilderness. A small double ended bag contains a roll of toilet paper in one end and an extendable padded strap in the other. A user pulls the padded strap from the bag, loops it around a tree and around the user's body, and attaches its end to the other end of the strap after extending that end of the strap from the other end of the bag. Then the user can lean back against the padded strap, and deposit bodily waste in a collection bag. The device is light, portable, reusable, and suitable for use by hikers, rafters, and other outdoor enthusiasts in areas where human waste is carried out rather than left behind.

This invention provides a cantilever bag holder that provides an alternative to conventional garbage cans for holding a garbage collection bag, or similar, for use in locations where conventional garbage cans are impractical or undesirable. This invention provides a rigid structure that is secured around a support, such as a tree, post, nail or hook. One aspect of the invention includes a convenient notch for holding a garbage bag (or similar) in a convenient position for use. This invention has practical use in applications such as camping, picnics, yard work and construction.
