A deck extender for a personal watercraft can include a deck member supported in a cantilevered configuration over an edge of the deck of the personal watercraft. The deck extender can include mounting sleeves fixed to an upper deck of a personal watercraft with mounting tabs of the deck member received within the mounting sleeves. The deck member can include mounting mechanisms having a receptacle and a pivoting cleat mounted above the receptacle configured for mounting accessories to the deck member. The deck member can have recessed channel members for mounting accessories.

A personal watercraft with cargo-carrying surface and an anchor rail mounted on a surface of the personal watercraft. The anchor rail being adjacent to the cargo-carrying surface and exposed to an environment. The anchor rail can include an outwardly facing surface exposed to the environment, and the anchor rail is secured to the personal watercraft in such a manner that the outwardly facing surface is recessed relative to the cargo-carrying surface to form a recess or that the outwardly facing surface is flush with the cargo-carrying surface.

A boat includes a hull, a deck, an engine disposed between the hull and the deck, and a jet propulsion unit including a jet nozzle configured to jet water therefrom. The jet nozzle includes a hole to which a water passage is connected and is configured to supply pressurized water from the jet nozzle to a water intake opening located in an interior of the hull. The water intake opening is connected to an interior water passage disposed in the interior of the hull and between the hull and the deck. The interior water passage is connected to a deck hose used to wash the boat.

A jet boat includes a hull, a jet propulsion nozzle mounted to a rear of the hull, and an articulating keel attached at the rear of the hull. The articulating keel is connected to the jet propulsion nozzle via a connecting portion such that when the jet propulsion nozzle is turned, at least a portion of the articulating keel is turned with the jet propulsion nozzle. The jet propulsion nozzle turns about a first pivot axis extending vertically or substantially vertically, and the articulating keel turns about a second pivot axis extending vertically or substantially vertically. The first pivot axis of the jet propulsion nozzle is coaxial with the second pivot axis of the articulating keel.

A watercraft is provided. The watercraft includes a cockpit. The watercraft further includes a stern-facing seat having a movable backrest. The seat is outside of the cockpit. An aquatic activity platform extends to a stern of the watercraft from the seat, and defines a foot rest for the seat. An engine is positioned substantially further towards a bow of the watercraft than the seat. A storage compartment has an opening positioned further towards the bow than the backrest of the seat. The backrest is movable to a first position to expose the opening and provide access to the storage compartment, and to a second position to conceal the opening.

A jet boat including a hull including a keel extending in a fore and aft direction of the jet boat, at least one jet propulsion nozzle mounted to a rear of the hull, and an articulating keel attached at the rear of the hull, the articulating keel arranged to pivot about a pivot axis extending vertically or substantially vertically. A bottom surface of the articulating keel does not extend below a bottom surface of the keel when the articulating keel is parallel or substantially parallel to the fore and aft direction of the jet boat.

An adjustable sponson for a personal watercraft allows the vertical position and the angular orientation of the sponson to be adjusted to suit the particular size and riding style of each rider. Each adjustable sponson includes a sponson body. At least one locking mechanism releasably attaches the sponson body to the hull side. A guide mechanism allows the sponson body to move vertically relative to an outer chine of the watercraft hull when the locking mechanism is loose. The guide mechanism also permits the ends of the sponson body to move independent of each other so that the angular orientation of the sponson body relative to the chine can be altered. When locked, the locking mechanism prevents movement of the sponson body over the hull side surface.

A straddle-type seat for a personal watercraft includes an operator seating portion and a juxtaposed passenger seating portion. A generally incurved seat support is provided between the operator seating portion and the passenger seating portion. The seat support includes a generally vertical rear face that provides back support for an occupant facing rearward in the passenger seating portion during operation or servicing of the watercraft and a generally incurved front face that includes a transversely extending member for supporting an occupant sitting in the operator seating portion during operation of the watercraft.

A small watercraft having a hull with a bow portion and stern portion. A raised pedestal is provided on the hull and supports an elevated seating assembly that includes a seat for accommodating at least one rider. A buoyant storage assembly extends transversely outward from the raised pedestal and is formed integrally with the hull in the stern portion so as to increase the buoyancy and stability of the watercraft in the stern portion when said storage assembly is at least partially immersed in water.
