One example device may be configured to determine that a destination public safety answering point (PSAP) of a received first call operates in a legacy PSAP domain. In response such a determination, the device may determine whether the first call is of a first type of call that includes an original number identification or of a second type of call that does not include an original number identification. In response to determining that the first call is of the first type, the device may deliver the first call to the destination PSAP along with an original number identification of the first call. In response to determining that the first call is of the second type, the device may generate a crafted number identification for the first call, and deliver the first call to the destination PSAP along with the crafted number identification.

In an embodiment, a baseline redacted version of a media file is received, and a comparative redacted version of the media file is also received. A comparison is made between the comparative redacted version of the media file and the baseline redacted version of the media file. An electronic tip processing system correlates a newly received unsolicited electronic tip with public-safety cases. A correlation score is assigned to each public-safety case. The system selects a public-safety case which has a correlation score greater than or equal to a threshold. The system then presents a notification to a case supervisor assigned to the selected public-safety case. The notification indicates availability of new tip information to the case supervisor and also requests the case supervisor to review and validate whether the new tip information including the unsolicited electronic tip is relevant to the public-safety case. When a response received from the case supervisor indicates that the electronic tip is validated by the case supervisor as being relevant to the public-safety case, the system links the unsolicited electronic tip to the public-safety case.

One example method includes determining one or both of an identity and a location of an emergency caller. The method includes retrieving, based on the identity and/or the location, active incident information identifying one or more active incidents associated with the identity and/or the location. The method includes identifying identities and/or locations of one or more in-field first responders associated with the one or more active incidents and comparing the identity and/or location of the emergency caller to the identities and/or locations of the in-field first responders associated with the active incidents. When a match is found based on the comparison, the emergency call is routed to one of the matching in-field first responders and not to the PSAP. When a match is not found, the emergency call is routed to the PSAP.

The device detects an input indicating a response command associated with the first radio. The device determines a routing path from the computing device to a given radio of the radios that are inside the coverage area. The device transmits, to the given radio, via the routing path, the response command.

A controller: receives, via a communications unit, from the mobile device, the user identifier indicating a log-in to the mobile device by the user; selects a subset of the first list of channels, to be temporarily assigned to the mobile device when the user is logged into the mobile device, based on the attributes of the user; and transmits, via the communications unit, to the mobile device, a combined list that includes the subset of the first list of channels, and the second list of channels, to enable the mobile device to communicate using channels in the combined list.

A method and apparatus for connecting a Bluetooth device is provided herein. During operation a priority list is used by a Bluetooth piconet master. The Bluetooth piconet master will receive feedback from all slave devices, and then control connections among devices within the piconet based on the priority list and the feedback. The Bluetooth piconet master controls the piconet such that when a first Bluetooth device is connected to a lower-priority Bluetooth device, connection to a higher-priority Bluetooth device will only take place if the higher-priority Bluetooth device becomes 'active' (as determined from the feedback). Therefore, as long as the higher-priority Bluetooth device remains 'inactive', the connection to the lower-priority Bluetooth device will remain.

A first visited location register associated with a first site in a first zone stores key material related to a first mobile station of the mobile stations associated with the home location register. When the first mobile station roams to a second site in a second zone associated with a second visited location register, the key material related to the first mobile station is encrypted with an interkey, yielding encrypted key material, wherein the interkey is used only by infrastructure system devices other than a mobile station for encrypting at least the key material for transport between at least the first and second zones. The encrypted key material is forwarded to the second visited location register.
